Tonight's dinner - shrimp with a lemon, olive oil, vodka, caper brine & oregano marinade/baste. The best was dredging some french bread across the griddle after dinner - holy cow!
There's really no point in ordering fries or potatoes as everything else is super filling. The fries do give a nice contrast in texture, though. To give you an idea of how filling the Black Magic is, the table behind us split their pancake into 3 individual plates.
I felt it best to cut the steaks into smaller segments, so they'd cook evenly, and they did
FWIW I used a medium low heat and that was plenty, + I was able to let the meat cook away while I did other things in the kitchen
BTW I'm using this griddle in my attached garage
Went to Griddle Cafe in Hollywood for a late breakfast on Saturday. The place is always busy; just look at the the tree outside. A lot of people left their I-were-here when they were waiting for seats.

Adam and Chris, power-brokering in the back room of the Griddle Cafe... my favorite place to eat brunch, an island of privacy in the busiest breakfast nook in LA. Notice the decor: stacked cartons of receipts, two pitchers of deliciousness, and more ketchup than should rightfully sit on any table.
