This is the Piazza Monti di Gibellina, one of the set-piece civic spaces created as part of the construction of the new town of Nuova Gibellina, Sicily. The town was built from scratch, from the 1970s onwards, to replace the original town (10km away) which was destroyed by an earthquake in 1968.
This square is one of a series of similar spaces called 'Sistema Delle Piazze' which were designed by Franco Purini and Laura Thermes.
Light refraction through a spiderweb. I like the way the light breaks up into almost rectangular shapes if you use a small aperture, and the way those shapes sit alongside this fence's grid pattern. I guess a spiderweb is a kind of grid too, although this particular one was quite irregular, the kind that is more like a distorted 3D box than an almost 2D net

It has been a great week of flat light and fog. Each day I search for the mystical, moody shot that only fog can create. Maybe if I stopped being distracted with rusty old fences I could find that elusive fog shot.
