"No Filters!"

But of course filters are used, if I have a look at my cameras' settings, I'll discover all sorts of neat little adjustments. Digital adjustments which control the built in "filter" imbedded on the sensor. Camera phones included.

Another question I sometimes I ask myself.....Can anyone tell me "Why do sunsets have to be in color?". Nothing wrong with color, I love color imagery. We punch it up with our articificial software, adding more filtration beyond what our artificial camera/sensor provides (they ALL have built in filters btw, phones included) creating artificial scenes, which is fine if expressing an artitistic interpretation, but then many are then used to promote tourism.....are they *realistic* as to what any givien person would actually see? When we do this, are we bordering on "false advertising"?

Kinda like back in the days of airbrushing the models that appear on the magazine cover....it's fake. The only way to appreciate a scene is to acually see it with ones' own eyes....other than that, it's all "fake news". lol

And yes... I include my own images, but I never make any bones about it.... I'm an artist first, everything else is then my interpretation of what I see with no representation of "Come see this..." ....because it doesn't exist except of course, in my own mind. lol

Image was taken last night in front of our home as the sun was setting. Happy Sunday!

Nearly time to hit the pub, as noted on the beach at Little Haven.

A heavy crop for this view of the sun retreating behind a deep cloud bank at the end of the UK day, largely to cut out the horrible mess that my bodged clean-up left on the edges of the big Credo sensor. A flick through the many presets in Lightroom resulted in choosing Sepia, though I increased the blacks from this pleasing base to bring the cresting waves further out of the background.

Today's story and sketch by me #1398, Is a tragic tale about the two medical patients from the Planet Woomou, which is located in a dimension unknown to any of our very knowledgeable deputies. Deputy Cosmo only learned about the Planet Woomou, after we removed the patient from the nearly dead ancient oak tree. The patient named Roscoe had his medical chart attached to the end of his Gurnee, which only read Roscoe was getting a hair transplant procedure, an the bed and all of the equipment were property of the Planet Woomou Sasquatch Hair Institute. Please do not remove equipment from these premises. We are guessing the Dude in the wheelchair, was also at the institute when the two, and the ancient oak were snatched by a Big Blue Dimension Dust Devil and dropped here on this Lovely Tropical Volcanic Planet we call Budahunga. It will surely be an interesting tale when we interrogate these two, but those will have to be stories for another time, until then Tata the Rod Blog.

On Wednesday I managed to escape from work at lunch time and get out for a wee dander - I just loved the shape of the trees along the road :)

So so glad it's Friday and naturally enough my picture just HAD to have a fence :) :) HFF everyone!!! :)

Hope you are all well and those of you in Canada that are still up to your necks in snow are keeping warm :)
