These three shot was taken along the Northern Road just before our turn off onto the Great Western Highway. This Helicopter was helping out and moving tree logs, Sadly i couldn't get it all in as We driving along.
Friday was a very odd day for the weather, I had this to the left of me and blue sky with lovely fluffy clouds to the right.
I liked how the white wall stood out with the very dark sky.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)

A short bright interval through a patch of thinning cloud provides a colourful scene along a county lane at Wycliffe, Teesdale.
Rainy and miserable today after such a gorgeous day yesterday. The forecast however said it would clear up later in the afternoon, so I held off until around teatime.
Yes, the clouds cleared, the sun came out for all of about 5 minutes. But I did like the way the sky looked from the garden.

While approaching the new spring season, this birch has held fast to its autumn leaves, reminding us of another time.
Update - November, 2016:
Sadly, this tree is now gone along with it's companions. I went to see what it looks like at this time of the year and saw empty space. At least I have this image as a reminder.

I saw these BMW parked in front of the local private primary school, just up the orad from my house, and I couldn't resist and had to get a photo of it.
What had become the norm of numerous dark days, brought two glorious sky days filled with a variety of cloud formations that was dizzying to take in.

looking up the borthwick valley, from the woodfoot ford. towards the footslopes of cowlady hill, or the cow hill, coo hill. and onwards to todshiehaugh. when i was a boy - from this very small stream, no bigger than a ditch. and rises on the distant hill. i had a brown trout of over half a pound, which was a monster at the time to a 5yo,by guddling under the banks where it enters the wood, you would be struggling to find one that size in the main river now, the larch wood looks much the same as it did in the early 60s - when we moved to that area. and there used to be a row of large elms along the fence line, that my dad had to cut down due to the dreaded dutch elm. hawick, scottish borders, scotland.
This cocky was flying past and it was still windy up there, and also cold. This photo was cropped a bit to make it look closer.
This is the old military road near Melgarve built by General wade in the 18th century which runs through the Corrieyairack Pass. My route for a wee hillwalk in the rain.
Looking across to Hart Fell from Erie Hill in the Scottish Borders. The light put on a bit of show for me up here...it was the classic scottish grey skies until Mr.Sunshine barged through. The two of them had a bit of a tussle. It was beautiful sight, Mr.Dull won the day eventually.
Shortly after taking this photo, I jumped into one of those myself. I love the view from these things.
If I could live here I think I’d be happy. The isolation is perfect - not too far but far enough to feel the clean air.

Sunshine and shadows on the hillside above Newbiggin, Teesdale, taken from the Ettersgill road.
Beautiful field of poppies in the Sussex countryside near Midhurst.

This was the last shot I captured, as we were heading home. This shot was between Tarana and Oberon NSW Australia.

Some extraordinary lighting conditions as very brief periods during which the sun almost breaks through the cloud cover create a dramatic view up the dale. West and East Force Gath farms on the hillside in the far distance, High Force Hotel in front of the conifer plantation, East Friars farm centre right. Taken from Stable Edge above Newbiggin.
Here is a B737-800 that I captured as we were driving along heading into Sydney. The landing gear was coming down and you can also see the vapour trail coming off the wings.
Here is a view looking over the tops of the tree. I was standing on my front verandah when I took this shot.
Driving the last stretch of the road to Achmelvich, the sun set right in front of me, a large orange-red ball above the water. The combination of colours, cold blue slate grey sky and warm yellow-orange heather, coupled with the sea breeze put me in mind of a fine west-coast single malt whisky...
I was standing in my backyard watching the storm clouds roll by, and saw all this cockatoos sitting on the power lines just up the road.
