A yacht, 'Captain Amora', moored in Mosman Bay - Sydney harbour, New South Wales, Australia. Photographed with a Canon 60D as our ferry departed from the Mosman South wharf and headed out of Mosman Bay into the harbour, on its journey to Circular Quay in the city. We had boarded the ferry at Cremorne Point and went on a trip into Mosman Bay before going across the harbour to the city.

A bright interval on the remote farming hamlet of Holwick in Upper Teesdale, taken from across the dale at Stable Edge.

Here is the big ram name the big Merino this is in Goulburn NSW Australia. It sure was hard to fit it all in.

Found deep in the "is it worth putting on flickr?" folder, from 2010.

A narrow country lane winds across moorland at Mam Tor in the Derbyshire Peak District, with Edale and the Kinder Scout hills behind.

Every time I visit this place there is something different to look at even on grey, nondescript days. While the other side of Studland was packed on this chilly, windy day, Bramblebush was deserted, peaceful and beautiful.

A patch of watery sunshine highlights the whitewashed farmsteads of Forest in Teesdale under a wintry sky. A heavy snow shower further down the dale in the distance.

While at work, it was raining. As I was leaving work to spend the evening with my wife, I snapped this picture.

Another case of extraordinary lighting. Even though the sky seemed to be 10/10ths cloud, a little hole appeared and this barn, one of the three usually photographed from the roadside at Bowlees was lit nicely.

Watery spring sunshine and a dark sky background set off the River Tees looking upstream from Demesnes Mill, Barnard Castle.

View along the path of South Downs Way in Sussex. Heading towards Chanctonbury Ring, an Iron Age hill Fort. Dark foreboding grey clouds and some blue sky. Walkers and a small red light aircraft can also be seen.

Despite strong pagan associations, we encountered no virgins being ritually deflowered when we got there, although we all got very excited at the prospect.

More mundanely, the Great Storm of 1987 got there well before us, and destroyed most of the trees, so (despite replanting) it is all a bit of shambles at the moment.

Kees, Diana and the Mustang in front of their house, about to leave for the castle where the wedding was held.

I've never seen a couple enjoy themselves as much at their own wedding as these two did. Everything was perfect. Thank you, guys, for making me a part of it :-)

Here is the front entryway into the railway museum, I took this as we were driving past. It's situated right next to the Bathurst railway station.

Viewed from Detaille Island

From Wikipedia: Détaille Island is a small island off the northern end of the Arrowsmith Peninsula in Graham Land, Antarctica. From 1956 to 1959 it was home to 'Base W' of the British Antarctic Survey and closed after the end of the International Geophysical Year (IGY). It is now often visited by Antarctic cruise ships but is otherwise unoccupied.

Thanks to the mens' hasty departure and the necessity that they take little with them, Base W is an eerily preserved time capsule of 1950s Antarctic life. The base had been intended to host dog-sledging survey parties which would cross the sea ice to the nearby Antarctic Peninsula, but the ice was dangerously unstable. When Base W was vacated, heavy sea ice prevented resupply ship Biscoe from approaching closer than 50 kilometres (31 mi), despite the assistance of two U.S. icebreakers. So the men were forced to close up the base, load sledges with only their most valuable gear and use dog teams to reach the ship.

All of a Sudden the birds got a fright and took off in such a hurry and then returned.

These posts are everywhere in the city. They can be very annoying specially when doing street photography since they are very where and usually not a pleasant sight. But I guess not all the time. :)
