It was a very grey old day. This Sulphur crested cockatoo flew over and was noisy as well.

We had to do a couple of things in Bathurst before heading to Orange, as we were driving along I heard and saw a few magpies attacking and swooping a wedge tail eagle, so Ian stop the car, I quickly grabbed my camera and sadly this was the best i could get, I hope it's still OK? The Eagle and magpie look like silhouettes thanks to the grey clouds and sky. GRRRRRR.

Here is a short video of us heading out of Bathurst, and heading home.

This Sulphur-Crested-Cockatoo know I was waiting for him to take-off and this is want he gave me.

As the night fell over Mauritius, we headed to the beach to catch the last glimmer of the sun as it set in the indian ocean. Already, the moon was up.

Today it was pretty cloudy and cool. Earlier this morning we got a little bit of rain, and the rest of the day was like this.

Week 32 - Landscape: Colorful

Shoot a landscape that packs as much color as you can find into the scene.

I came across this lovely field of poppies; cornflowers & other yellow & white flowers in a field whilst trying to find a suitable shot of a landscape with colour, so this is the best I can do for this weeks theme.

CC welcome.

I took this shots on my way down and back from my local store. Not long after I got home the heavens open up, it started to pour down and then the thunder arrived.

I have opened an etsy shop if you would like to buy a digital download of my photos. Feel free to check it out.

Completely different location but it's no coincidence that I saw this chap on a number of different walks - it's my uncle who I went away with! :-)

After a great walk up Killiney Hill, reflecting the Obelisk in the globe took ages, I think this is the best of the rest... let me know what you think...

Here are two shots of the Hydro Majestic taken at Hargraves Lookout in the Blue Mountains NSW Australia.

The Hydro Majestic, established by Mark Foy in 1903 as a groundbreaking health resort, became a cultural icon hosting luminaries and overcoming adversity, including a transformative fire and wartime service, to cement its place in Australian heritage.

I see where the tall height of your area of masonry @ the left is maybe preventing you from centering your awning above your doorway isn't it. Ya like to drape yr shoptowel over yr horizontal doorhandle don't ya.

Hey your little metal flagholder thing looks like it might be gettin kinda rusty there. I'm talking to YOU!

Since October 2018 the NSW Mid North Coast has had very little worthwhile rain. Once upon a time you could say that the period from Mid December to May was the time when one could expect consistent rainfall with afternoon thunderstorms sometimes bringing heavy rains. This period also had potential for strong low pressure systems to develop with flooding events in the Manning and Wallamba River catchments likely every few years.

It appears times are changing. Drought now seems the order of the day with longer periods between rainfall events. When the rainfall does come it is often in the form of short sharp storms which can dump a lot of rain on a short space of time, most of which has little opportunity to soak in.

The period from October 2018 to March 2018 has seen the lowest rainfall I can ever remember.

These grey clouds in this image are typical of what now appears to be happening, lots of grey clouds but very minimal rainfall actually falls from them.

The NSW election is coming up on the 23rd March 2019 and all the major parties are promising to make it rain. Lets see if they can.
