Taken from Chain Bridge - Budapest, Hungary

The low-lying clouds covering the scene looked like a blanket. I completely forgot that these clouds (great for a picture) spelt thunderstorms. And no sooner had I taken this picture, the heavens opened and bolts of lightning filled the sky. I would have loved to have stayed and try to take a picture, but the winds were too strong and I was out in just short and t-shirt.

I'm not sure whether this picture is too dark? But it definitely well conveys the scene at the time.

This kind man allowed me to take a photo of him and his new catch. After I took this photo he released back into the water and it swam off. We were trying to work out what kind of fish it was, we think it was a king fish.

Here was my last change to get a Short-Bill-Corella in flight. After I took these shots, they didn't return.

Here is another shot I captured, as we were driving along O Connell RD

Here is another shot I captured at our local park here in Oberon. The park is right behind our house.

The afternoon sky was beginning to get a little heavy, with rain threatened at any moment (though it never came, as it happened). Somehow the sky makes the castle, atop its mound, seem even more imposing. It is an impressive example of its type and is still home to the Armstrong family.

An interesting fact about the castle - the keep was built in 1164 for the princely sum of £4, pretty much the same cost as the guidebook these days

There were a few too many people on the beach so I took some artistic licence and removed them. However, I quite liked the lone child in the image, so there he remains

It was a very grey old day. This Sulphur crested cockatoo flew over and was noisy as well.

We had to do a couple of things in Bathurst before heading to Orange, as we were driving along I heard and saw a few magpies attacking and swooping a wedge tail eagle, so Ian stop the car, I quickly grabbed my camera and sadly this was the best i could get, I hope it's still OK? The Eagle and magpie look like silhouettes thanks to the grey clouds and sky. GRRRRRR.

Here is a short video of us heading out of Bathurst, and heading home.

This Sulphur-Crested-Cockatoo know I was waiting for him to take-off and this is want he gave me.
