Green Heron Huntley Meadows Park

Boseong is known as the green tea capital of Korea. The surrounding climate and soil provide good conditions for growing a unique green tea that has a distinct taste and aroma. Almost one third of all tea farmland is located in Boseong and nearly half of all green tea production in Korea comes from the area. This status has been carefully crafted in recent decades, partly due to the long history green tea has with the area.

After two weeks of rain the grass in the local park is looking particularly lush.

My second monochrome shot for this week (week 33) of the 52 in 2015 Challenge.

Hiding out in my shopping bag.

She was waiting to pounce on Pippy or to be pounced on by Pippy who can be seen lurking in the background in the second pic.

119 in 2019 - number 3 Acid Green

Not sure this is acid enough, but over in the Macro Mondays group we had to do cloth, and I chose one of my Mum's head scarfs, which I thought would also fit this 119 challenge :)

So, here's another modification of the Green Grocer (#10185).

Actually the plan was to dismantle the Green Grocer to make some space for other MOCs, but instead I ended up rebuilding it for the second time.

Now I really like it, I guess.

Added another floor, rebuilt the roof and stairs again and added some more furnishings.

The Green Goblin from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. While there are many similar designs for a minifigure of this character, I came up with this on my own.

Against my principles I had to throw a pair of shoes away.. the leather was ruined by the heavy rains and the sole could not be prepared.. goodbye great green Italian shoes..

The common green lacewing (Chrysoperla carnea), about 7mm long, is a lime green, delicate insect, with translucent, intricately veined wings. It is about 7mm long and is common in gardens and parks, where it helps to control aphid pests.

Looked out of window and seen this beauty on the lawn. Watched it for a good 25 mins having a good feed on the ants.Have heard him as you do but never seen him.I had a good idea that he would be using the garden as our back garden as the most grass in the row. Still shocked to see him in there though.....

July 2012

This Green Heron was hanging around one of the ponds at Fort Whyte for a good portion of the summer... here he is sitting up in a tree that is about 8' above the shore line...
