Green Tree Frog season arrived a little later than usual this year, but over the weekend I was able to capture a number of excellent shots. I think this fifteen (15) stack portrait of this little one is a great way to get things started. :) -H3

Located far deep into the enormous Misty Lake, only accessible by boat, surrounded by perpetual fog, murky vegetation and mysterious legends and tales, the Green Fish-Inn provides travellers and ocasional visitors a much needed place for resting and spent the night. The only thing you should be aware is the owner’s bad temper and unstable mood. Do you dare to spent the night?
It’s been a while since my last “castle” build. I wanted to build other things and so I did! But I felt the need to build castle again. However I decided not go crazy with technics or complexity. No angled walls or curved roofs this time! This was heavily based on one particular piece of the Art of Shaun Keenan: shaunkeenan.com
Thanks yet again to Markus for the great photoshop work on the main photo!

Aspetto vostri commenti buon lunedi macro e buona primavera a tutti voi
NB dimensione cubo cm 2,5 per lato
Having read this week's theme, my thoughts linger on the "shape of water" square cubes of ice.
I dilute the green and yellow tempera in water, pour the colored liquid in molds to make ice, to make the image
more interesting, I insert some yellow flowers inside the cube.
I prepare the light blue cardboard set, well frozen cubes and arrange the lights by taking pictures as they melt.
I believe I have obtained an excellent result by experimenting.
I look forward to your comments happy Monday macro and happy spring to you all
NB cube size 2.5 cm per side

It was warm and sunny so I decided to visit my local reserve thinking there was a very slight chance to see a green hairstreak. I thought it would be too early.
I was delighted to find one in the small area I have seen them in recent years and later a couple of ladies told me one had been seen yesterday on the reserve.
I saw 9 different species in total, though not many of any of them - holly blues being the most common which was unusual.
I do love these so was really pleased with my visit.

There were quite a few Green-winged Teals at Burnaby Lake yesterday and I was just settling in to get some nice shots when some dumbass in a boat came into the bay and scared all the birds away! It was all downhill from there...
This little guy dragged around this piece of vegetation on his back for quite a while.
This truck has likely been rusting in the desert in Joshua Tree National Park since the early 40's when its owner Bill Keys was sent to prison for murdering another man. After 12 years, the murder conviction was overturned. Keys was released when evidence was uncovered that the victim had a plan to murder Keys, thus the killing was ruled self-defense. The truck is buried in sand up to its axles in the wash below the remains of the Wall Street Mill.
Happy Truck Thursday!
