Since Greenfield Village, the "museum" of historic buildings adjacent to the Henry Ford Museum is kept closed by the COVID-19 pandemic, I'm posting photos from past visits. Stay home. Stay safe.
This cabin was built in 1942 in Greenfield Village as a tribute to agricultural scientist George Washington Carver. Its design is based on Carver's memories of the cabin in Missouri where he was born.
My birthday outing to my "happy place", Greenfield Village, was two days after my birthday (since the Village is only open Thursday–Sunday now).

One of the most beautiful places I've been to with Bury Tomorrow. We found a viewing platform to watch some of the bands on the mainstage.

On a Memorial Day weekend at Greenfield Village. There were reenactors all over, from photographers with box cameras, to churches with hymn singing and sermons, to artists drawing in pencil or painting in oils, to a very large contingent of Union and Confederate forces parading and camping everywhere.
In the afternoon there was a cavalry charge and cannon firing that made you feel like you were back in the 1860s.
