Beautiful sunny day in Ottawa, spent the majority of the day outside with Sylvia but came in for a bit and grabbed this shot of Fyero. I love the lighting around my girl, I find it gives the photo a bit of an aged feel.
Hope you've all had a lovely Saturday!

Mica, looking serene. He's driving me crazy. He lurks under the kitchen table and bolts out the door when someone opens it.
Gremlin tries to scratch his way through the glass doors to the patio. The squirrel is sitting in the track for the sliding glass doors.
I thought about calling this "Wistful Thinking." This beautiful girl has a faraway look here.
She showed up in our yard early in the summer, and I saw her from time to time. I guessed that she belonged to a new neighbor. After a while it became evident that she was a stray. She was very friendly and would come up to the doors and windows at night to try and get in, even climbing up the screens. Outside, she followed me around like a puppy and would jump into a car if given an open door.
Thinking that maybe I could provide her a foster home until she was adopted, I took her to be fully vetted and spayed. She had been spayed.
We brought her in once she had her shots to see what sort of temperament she has and how she would got along with our other cats.
She wants to grab ahold of people with both claws and teeth, but very gently. I suspect this trait may have led her to being dropped off. Of course, she might have jumped into a car and ended up far from home. I've looked on the internet, checked with the SPCA and haven't found any information on her. She'll stay with us as an inside cat unless we can find her a good home.
This is Graycie, my sister's cat. On Christmas Day, I went over to my sister's house with the intention of capturing my 6 month old nephew on his first Christmas. However, my nephew had other plans, and decided to sleep through most of Christmas. Graycie, being the little show-off that she is, decided to take over, and was flaunting all her best stuff for my camera. She threw out a lot of fabulous poses, but I kinda liked the "contented head rub against the post" pose the best. :-)
For some reason Grady has chosen a corner of our bathroom floor as his sleeping place of choice...Notice how he follows the contour of the corner...the space must be completely filled ! His front paws are facing one way and his hind legs are facing the other...reminds me of that yoga stretch where the arms and legs stretch in opposite directions
I took this picture of my cat through the window. A rare moment when she was still enough for me to grab a shot. I have gray carpet and her fur seems to blend. The brown is a reflection of the window frame. A square crop might be better, what do you think?

He's a good feller.

She was in my back yard, refusing to be intimidated by my cat, who is much larger and who was growling at her from the screened porch. Pretty little cat--don't know who she belongs to.

It seems that Owen has found a new place to sleep. Yes, I'm one of the few people who still read the newspaper, and when I'm done reading, I put it in this box and then take it to the recycling bin when the box is full. I usually keep the box in a closet, but for the past few days it's been next to my desk, and Owen has been sleeping in the box on the newspapers for several days. At least I found a good use for old newspapers. I hope Owen is not too upset when I take the papers to the recycling bin.
