It is approximately half the size of the North American gray wolf. The 2023 population census revealed a minimum of 257 Mexican wolves distributed across Arizona and New Mexico. This immature bird was at the confluence of Rio Churun and the outflow of Angel Falls in Bolivar, Venezuela on 6 Nov 03. Some checklists call this Gray-bellied Goshawk. I digiscoped this bird with the Nikon Coolpix 4500 and Nikon Fieldscope ED 60mm.

It took me a year-long stay in the States to understand the pun in the famous TV series title. D'oh!
The Bus and Boat Company 6060 is a 1971 Daimler Fleetline in Gray Line livery.
This bus was originally delivered to London Transport as DMS165, and was exported to Canada in 1994. It was acquired by The Bus and Boat Company in 2011.

The Gray/Campbell Farmstead is the oldest house in Springfield, Missouri. The Farmstead is located in the Nathanael Greene Park on South Scenic. Along with the oldest house in Springfield (circa 1856), there is a log kitchen, a two crib barn, and a log granary. The House was built by James Price Gray and was later sold to his brother-in law, John Polk Campbell, the nephew and name-sake of the founder of the city of Springfield. The house was occupied by the Campbell family from 1865 to the 1950's, and it was moved to the Nathanael Greene Park in 1984 when the Kansas and James River Expressways were about to be constructed.

Grays Peak (14,270 ft), seen from the summit of Torreys. Sorry the sky is so blown-out, but this shot gives you a good view of Grays' massive northern slopes, which are what you hike up from the Stevens Gulch Trailhead. In fact, you can see the lines of the trails going up to Grays, down from Grays to the saddle between the two 14ers, & also the trail you take from the saddle to hook back up with the main trail.

These large birds are native to the region around Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania and use grasslands and wetlands as habitat, breeding mostly in wetlands. These are non-migratory birds, but will make local movements when conditions are unfavorable. They feed on just about anything and are spectacularly appointed with feathers of many colors and textures. How the color "gray" become their moniker I can't say, but maybe that's the color that dominates when they are not in mating condition.

While hiking out, I saw this stream down to the right of the trail and thought, "You know, I bet I could get a really cool shot from down there." The keyword, though, being down... meaning that after getting the shot, I'd have to climb the steep hillside back up to the trail. No big deal, except I'd just summited two 14ers. After getting this shot, climbing back up that hillside to the trail just about kicked my butt.
