Sonny Gray, pitcher for the Oakland A's, came back to his high school Smyrna in Tennessee, to have his number retired by the team. The #2 will still be worn by players who earn it. Smyrna Bulldogs won 2 state championships with Sonny at quarterback in 2005 and 2006. He then went to play baseball at Vanderbilt University and now pitches for the Oakland Athletics.
Sonny was super nice and stopped for photos and autographs. I was kind of spazzing out, really. Hehe.
Featured in movies, TV shows and was the subject of Anthony Bourdain's episode of "no Reservations". For me, Gray's Papaya hot dog restaurant reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw in "Sex and the City." Oh, I love their papaya smoothie too! In the Upper West Side of New York City.

A good use for a gray day anyway! I spent the day doing some commercial real estate shots and decided I needed HDR software for it... So here is my 2nd product from that. I love it so far!
I'm using a free trial of NIK HDR EFEX PRO. It seems pretty easy to use, but I have some more to learn about it. I wish there was a way to send a file back to Lightroom for more editing easier (I've since figured this out. Edit in 8bit mode instead of 16). Also wish there was a way to save a version and be able to continue editing without NIK HDR closing. I'm sure I'll discover more that I both like and don't like.
Oh yeah, this is my first image posted with my new D90! 3 shots combined in this and shot from an open window.

1922 Gray-Dort Touring Car, Model 19-B
Gasoline Alley Museum, Heritage Park Historical Village, Calgary
Produced by Gray-Dort Motors Ltd. of Chatham, Ontario, this Model 19-B Touring Car was one of 26,000 automobiles produced during the company’s ten year operation. Initially the factory finished American Dort cars for the Canadian market. With a gradual shift to 65% Canadian made parts, the Gray Dort is recognized as Canada’s first domestic built car.
The backyard catbird that was hanging around while I was gardening out back. Not quite as good detail as the other shot, but at least it's against a clear (if not terribly aesthetic) background.
