Sometimes I like to take my cameras and just wander around graveyards. These were taken at Calvary Cemetery and Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

I'm terrible at landscapes yall ...still learning! :) But I still want to share a cool picture from this past weekend. Matt and I hiked at Graveyard Fields (NC Mountains). I had never been there before but I am now in love with the area. It's so pretty and open. Love the landscape and the rivers running through it. <3

Huge weeping beech on a local graveyard

I haven't been in St Lawrence's graveyard in Biddulph for a long time. Nor, in the pretty church next door, in which I was married over 30 years ago. I only stopped by on my way to fill the car with diesel. But I was glad to park the car and re-aquaint myself in the superb evening light

The sun starts to sink behind the burnt out ruins of the medieval Annesley Hall, casting long shadows in the graveyard of the old church.

Sometimes I like to take my cameras and just wander around graveyards. These were taken at Calvary Cemetery and Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

All the gothic children come out and play here. Ouji boards, whispering enchantments of yore, smoking clove cigarettes, ox-blood ten hole Doc's, slashing Children of Bodom in their forearms, all that cool stuff. Back in the early 90's my buddy G called them "Flour Children." cause the girls used to put white paint on their faces to look corpsier and saddier. I bet you liked Nitzer Ebb and Front 242.

Once a week I try to get a drive in to different places hoping to come across something of interest for a photo shoot. On this particular day the drive was up by Potosi to Glen Haven, Wisconsin where I stumbled upon what I call a Tractor Graveyard. These tractors are dead so to speak but are waiting for new life to be breathed into them such as for parts for other tractors, upcycling, refurbishing, or recycling. What a great way to preserve our environment and to keep things out of the landfills. I never know what I'm going to find on these outings. Graveyard Fields - Haywood County, NC

The first full day of a workshop with my brother and Randall Sanger Photography, we visited the Second Falls of Graveyard Fields. We had not been there long when the rain started, and it soon became heavy enough that we had to pack up leave. This is an HDR image. Four exposures were merged in HDR Efex Pro 2. Final adjustments were made to the merged image in Lightroom and Color Efex Pro 4.
