Grasshopper Warbler (Locustella naevia). Woodwalton Fen National Nature Reserve, Cambridgeshire. Thursday April 30, 2015.
Image 2 of 3.
Almost certainly the same individual shown in the previous image, but taken about 40 minutes later. Most of the intervening time was spent trying to find it again, even though it had only moved barely 10m from its previous perch, and kept giving out its characteristic long monotonic bursts of what passes for song - as it is in this shot.

Seen at the Falls of the Ohio state park in Indiana. My favorite feature was the markings along the back leg, which almost looks like tire tread.
A grasshopper holds still hoping that I can't see him. Exploring the animal life in my back yard with my Nikon 105mm f/2.8 macro (the old school version.)

I'm pretty sure this cute little bugger is a hatchling grasshopper. I don't have anything to show scale, but he's teeny tiny - this is with my super macro lens at roughly 1.5x in natural diffused sunlight. The foreground/background is glass on black paper.
Photo taken in Connecticut. Caught and released in my garden.
A grasshopper jumps onto Valerio's t-shirt as we fly along on the "Bamboo Train."
Rickety carts and wheels are quickly transformed into a "bamboo train" that illegally travels along unused train-tracks in the Cambodian countryside. If you run into another "train" along the way, the one with the least amount of cargo is disassembled so the other can pass. As seen on our moto tour in the countryside of Battambang Province, Cambodia.
