The' Roommate’ hotel juxtaposed with the steel & glass facade of two building volumes of De Rotterdam 'vertical city'.
The hotel is the AWG architecten / Teresa Sapey Studio redeveloped Pakhuismeesteren (the company that once bought up the leftovers of the bankrupt VOC) veem (harbour storage facility (1941). Shown here is the part of the hotel that was realized on the roof of the veem.

This winter has by far been the snowiest ever in my area. This graph shows (top line) total snow this year so far, then (middle line) average accumulation by this date in history, then (bottom line) the previous record snowfall.
Black line on graph indicates average snowfall accumulation over time, the purple area shows snowfall accumulation records reported daily by me to the National Weather Service, from right here at my house.
