A smaller sketchbook format for practicing different media/techniques....still prefer ink over graphite. This is a leaf from the Lacebark Kurrajong, a deciduous Australian native tree; it doesn't always flower every year, but come Spring/Summer it will hopefully produce its beautiful pink flowers.

A few weeks ago I was simply playing with aperture on simple subjects. I ended up liking the effect on these graphite sticks, so this picture made it to my photostream.
