12 hour day of cleaning and getting the house ready for showing next friday... so here are some grapes. they're purple. well, purplish-red. close enough for 10:30PM.

While visiting our niece in Summerland, B.C. for our Canadian Thanksgiving, we went for a drive and stopped off in Naramata at the La Frenz Winery. I couldn't resist snapping a picture of this lovely bunch of grapes. (13-10-15-6939)
The skins are tart but the flesh is very tasty. They have pips but I don't mind (Kirk is more picky). We have toyed with the idea of making our own wine, but I was scared off by the long process. Though I suppose we could simply juice the grapes and freeze or preserve them until we go ahead with the wine? I also have the idea that we could make a killer grape jelly with this. I really need a recipe for jam that doesn't involve so much sugar, the taste of these grapes is too exquisite to be marred with seven cups of sugar or whatever.
