I decided to go back and revisit some of the photos that I took in Germany last July. While going through them I saw this photo that I took of some grapes that my uncle had growing in his backyard.
I decided to get a little creatving with some color selection with the help of Topaz Remask 3. Doing color selection has never been easier than with that plug-in!

Here grapes are being picked by hand for a friend who makes his own wine. Most commercial grape picking is done by machine but people can still be found doing it the way it has been done for thousands of years.
There are extensive fields of grapes all around in this area of Catalonia, Spain called the Penedes region.
To the uninitiated it's surprising to see how many large bunches there are on each plant (many much larger than the one shown here). Nature's bounty indeed.
People come from far away to pick the grapes (some for payment, some for fun) and it can be a surprisingly satisfying experience.
With a thunderstorm looming over a vineyard, the name of this picture alludes to the ancient Greeks’ god of thunder. It is a Horváth-family vineyard in Szölöskislak, Somogy County, Hungary. The picture was taken 23 July 2015.

A grape is a fruiting berry of the deciduous woody vines of the botanical genus Vitis. Grapes can be eaten raw or they can be used for making wine, jam, juice, jelly, grape seed extract, raisins, vinegar, and grape seed oil. Grapes are a non-climacteric type of fruit, generally occurring in clusters.
The cultivation of the domesticated grape began 6,000–8,000 years ago in the Near East. The earliest archeological evidence for a dominant position of wine-making in human culture dates from 8,000 years ago in Georgia.
Grapes are a type of fruit that grow in clusters of 15 to 300, and can be crimson, black, dark blue, yellow, green, orange and pink. "White" grapes are actually green in color, and are evolutionarily derived from the purple grape.
According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), 75,866 square kilometers of the world are dedicated to grapes. Approximately 71% of world grape production is used for wine, 27% as fresh fruit, and 2% as dried fruit.
