A unit grain train was put together at Reading, MI on the Indiana Northeastern on Friday and the train left assembled and ready to go the next morning. This crew then took it down through Indiana making the hard left at Steubenville to head for Montpelier, OH. They've just run through Hamilton, IN and coming out the east side of town traverse this high fill over culverts for the Hiram Sweet Ditch which empties into Fish Creek and then the St. Joseph River which joins with the St Mary's River in Fort Wayne to become the Maumee, eventually discharging into Lake Erie. The DOTX 2000 leads IN 3125 and IN 2230 for a nice assorted set of standard cab EMDs. Hamilton, IN 7/11/2020
BNSF 2890 is used to pick-up and set-out grain hoppers at the Columbia Grain Central elevator in Conrad, Montana.
Tried a grainy look with ISO6400. Definitely different look than in those super clean sunset photos. The imperfectness makes it look more real.

The Pier 86 Grain Terminal on the Seattle waterfront usually loads millions of tons of grain into container ship bound for China, Japan and other parts of Asia. Looks pretty quiet now. Perhaps the trade war is hampering grain shipments.
