I have long been an admirer of the work of Carl b. Graf and recently realised that there is not much information on his work online. So I thought I would put a set together as the start of a small archive of his work.
Call No.: 12_00214
Corp. Name: Zeppelin
Subject: Zeppelin
Notes: Graf Zeppelin, Mines Field, CA
Description: 8 x 10 Black and White Photo
4059: Concert of the year (although I have some planned for later this month including Everything Everything). On september 12th Unheilig played the last open air concert of the Gipfelstürmer tour in Essen Stadion. the rain was pouring down and it took Der Graf quite some time to win the audience, which was tucked under umbrellas and wearing raincoats. Because of his clear visible effort, which was equally matched with nochalante and funny comments, the concert became an atmospheric and sweltering highlight.
Looks like most of the Graf Zeppelin's outer covering is in place, but the name has yet to be applied. From the masking on the gondola windows, it would appear that painting of some sort is yet to be completed as well.
From a collection of reproduction postcards.
This boxscore was published in the New York Times.
Steffi Graf d. Gabriela Sabatini, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.
I have Graf getting 10 return errors from Sabatini -- a discrepancy with the boxscore, if "service winners" means all return errors. Similarly, I have Sabatini getting 9 return errors from Graf, not 5.
My own count agrees with the service percentages, aces, doubles, and total points won.
I have Sabatini making 14 placement winners (ie, non-service winners), in agreement with the boxscore. But I have Graf at only 21 winners.
Part of the problem is that my DVD is missing two points won by each player.
Not counting double-faults or service returns, I have Graf making 31 unforced errors, Sabatini 28.
Not counting service returns, I have Graf making 11 forced errors, Sabatini 19.

De elektriciteitscabine op het pleintje dat bekend staat als ‘Het Graf van Napoleon’ werd opgefleurd met een muurschildering. Het ontwerp van JJStudio verwijst naar de herkomst van de naam van het pleintje in de volksmond.

The electricity cabin on the square known as 'Napoleon's Tomb' was brightened up with a mural. The design of JJStudio refers to the origin of the name of the square in popular speech.
