Working on my weird tan.

I am currently in love with the whole Ombre/Gradient nails, slow i know. Here is my version, very sutle to start with. Colors used are OPI Mod about you fading into OPI Alpine now. You may notice tiny grey/black spots, that is a glitter top coat i decided to put on and thats china glaze wireless holographis (or something like that)

A lineside gradient marker post inside Darlington Railway Station in County Durham (UK).

Gradient markers are located where the gradient of the track changes. The arms on the marker indicate the direction of the gradient each side of the post.

This particular post indicates that to the left, the track will incline or rise by 1 in 454 (1:454) and to the right the track will decline or drop by 1 in 426 (1:426).

As the second numbers are quite high on this marker, I would consider that the gradients north and south of Darlington Station are slight.

The steepest section of main line railway in the United Kingdom is Lickey Incline near Birmingham with a gradient of 1 in 37.7 (1:37.7).

Here's another one that isn't terribly interesting, but I'm just experimenting and learning some different back lighting techniques.

I used 2 key lights with homemade diffusers. One on the left front, and the other on the right and to the back to highlight the edges. Then a 3rd light was used to hit the white background sweep. I had to play around quite a bit until I got the right effect. It would probably be a lot easier with some sort of rectangular lamp or a speedlight. I welcome any suggestions you might have to improve the effect.

Gradient is the Eve corporation my main is in, Electus Matari the alliance it belongs to. We're roleplayers.

This image uses textures provided by these lovely people: etaisyydenneliö, unaciertamirada, thomashebert and laatideon.

The screenshot in the middle is actually composed from three screenshots, as it proved out to be next to impossible to get the ships in line in SiSi; they kept getting desync over and over again.

Actually, this is a shot of my finger, really close up

i just liked how the layers and gradients of our sky came through in this shot. maybe it is just clouds, but in my mind there is more to it.

from a recent trip to charleston. these were from the flight down.

The hills, oh the hills! I wish you were there with me as I walked along the river bank admiring the colours of the sun saying it's final goodbye to the hills. I've always loved the cold blue of a winter sky. The nakedness of the trees, shivering in the breeze. The sunsets, that warm your almost frozen body, as you stand there and stare, breathing in the moment and appreciating the small things in life.

I imagined as I walk home tonight, I imaged a world where humans were not the humans we have become today. I imagined a world dominated by a creature that cares, that loves, that accepts that we share this planet with more than those with veins filled of blood. I felt angry, I felt angry that our ancestors destroyed nature to replace it with hideous buildings. I wanted to live the life of bird, I wanted to fly. I wanted to fly away to the most beautiful rain forest, where all I could see was a graceful landscape stretched out to the horizon dancing in the wind. I wanted to hear the soothing sound of a waterfall, the melody of birds singing, I wanted to bath in rock pools without a care in the world. I wanted to be free.
