GALLOPING THE GOOSE
Travelling south from the Sooke Potholes' on the Galloping Goose Trail for 1km, one arrives at Tod Creek Trestle; continue southward for another 1.8km and one arrives at Charters creek Trestle. The former is original timber construction and the latter is a steel, cantilever suspension bridge.
Wednesday we walked 4470m (according to my View Ranger GPS app in my phone) around Cedar Hill Golf Course under overcast (ovc) skies.
We took longer than usual as some experimenting was happening with the camera in my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 smartphone.

I used my Nokia N77 with the Nokia LD-1W BT GPS to track the route. The N77 ran the Nokia Sportstracker to follow the route and export the data to Google Earth.

You have to see it in Large size at least. I'm going to heavily edit this one, I think, but here is the basic route up Avalanche Gultch to the summit of Shasta (almost...).
I'd like to make the route up a different color than the route down, I'd like to add a few more feature points, maybe inset a few photos from those points, add some elevation markers, (maybe a chart), add some speed and distance markers, etc. Any suggestions?
Note: an interesting thing happened with this photo: originally, it was around 8000px across. When uploaded, the Flickr resize routines apparently failed - I got a black image for every size other than original. Reducing to 6000px on the long edge fixed the problem...
