Lower Manhattan just after dusk as seen from old Pier 1 at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Hard not to be happy to see the new World Trade Center takes its place in the skyline.
Well, perhaps the most surprising building I peeped by accident in London after the Neasden Hindu Temple, which caught me totally by surprise while travelling on a bus.
I can't say how much I love this building, and how difficult it's been for me to get a satisfying shot of it, or some of its details.
Maybe one day I will try again, hoping to catch that elusive point of view or compositive detail good enough to render the marvel this building provokes in me.

I find myself coming back to this shot frequently as it is very challenging. I never seem satisfied with whatever results i get. There's either wind from the lake or the water that constantly moves the boats that stops me from getting a sharp image. I'm hoping chicago experiences one of those tropical nights where everything is muggy and not a wisp of wind and then maybe......i just need 20 seconds. :)
construction site of 4 new skyscrapers in Frankfurt, Germany. was a missed shot as i had no tripod or remote on me but i like how it turned out

blue merlins Gothamgothaman city... : )
“Let me tell you a few things about Gotham City. It has a population of 7.5 million. It boasts the tallest example of neo-gothic architecture in North America. It has the largest percentage of sociopathic criminals in any metropolitan conurbation. And it has me. (blue merlin) este – THE BATMAN - (opening dialog from the Batman: Knightfall radio drama © BBC)

This shot of NYC makes me think of Gotham City (Batman). LOL.
It was a very steamy night in Manhattan. Literally. I guess MTA folks were doing work underground. Also, the haze from the humidity and the heat added to the steam.
In the heart of the city that never sleeps, the iconic Empire State Building stands tall, its lights a beacon in the night sky. This snapshot captures the essence of urban life, with the bustling street scene unfolding below. A modded car with vibrant LED lights commands attention in the foreground, casting a neon glow on the wet asphalt, reflecting the city's dynamic pulse. The contrasting elements of the lit signage reading 'CHAI TEA', the subtle string lights of a street-side café, and the myriad of storefronts in various languages speak to the cultural tapestry of the metropolis. This photograph is a tribute to the city's enduring energy and the quiet grandeur of its famous skyline.
