This is the last set of drone images that I took on Sunday and is a blend of 14 1 second images. As you can see, the mist/fog was lifting but still giving a lovely effect in the sky and against the lights on the top of the buildings.

This shot was captured along the Palisades Parkway.

There are pictures that we have seen a thousand times. Coloseum, anyone?

Maybe there is only a possible vintage point, or maybe we're just conformists? The fact is, when you're there, you cannot - not take the pic. But, why? What is the motivation?

My take is to treat it like Jazz standards. It can be a show-off of technical prowess or a slight variant on the theme.

Anyway, this is my take on some of them, from four continents. For you to judge.Downtown skyline at sunset from Brooklyn

This was taken from the re branded Chicago 360, which used to be named the John Hancock Observatory, it is one of two paid observatory decks in Chicago the other being the Willis Tower and I think out of the two this one has the better view and is far less crowded. I shall at some point get round it posting the shot from there and you will be able to compare both and decide for yourselves.

"Gotham" had long been a well-known nickname for New York City even prior to Batman's 1939 introduction, which explains why "Gotham Jewelers" and many other businesses in New York City have the word "Gotham" in them. The nickname became popular in the nineteenth century; Washington Irving had first attached it to New York in the November 11, 1807 edition of his Salmagundi, a periodical which lampooned New York culture and politics.
