I coded experimental TiltShift Google Map, however its too heavy to run on the web.
Here is a screen shot.
I hope its a part of fair use.
An unknown photo showed up in Google Maps. I even double checked it, zoomed in and out... yup, it stayed there. Weird.
Today i learned that Paparazzi is amazing when you want a as high resoluted map from google maps as possible, without having to take screen shots and working in photoshop forever. Just add the url to the zoomed in part of the map you want in the centre of your image, and tell Paparazzi to make it huge, like 10.000x5.000 pixels or so.
The island where the old prison was is not named Devils Island, It's actually Insula Royale. Devils Island is the one with the Google tag on it.
My hometown...lived there my entire life and almost the whole time in the same house. That sounds kinda sad, I'm a small town girl, what can I say.
