I've set up a CommunityWalk map to mark historic sites and places of interest in India.

At present not all sites are represented - feel free to suggest names and I'll put them up.

I'll also try to show all photos on the Historic India Group on this map.

At least, GoogleMaps has a name for it but not for the pond itself, and can't find it through a quick search. Perhaps Centrepointe Pond? ;)

Not a photo; just something I thought was cool. Google Maps has had a "My Maps" feature for a while that lets you put in locations that are important to you. To me, the most important locations are the ones where people I care about live, so I've made a geo-spatial address book. The yellow flags tell a more personal history of places that I've lived. The martini glass is here I'm getting married.

Places to purchase Medical Marijuana in the U.S., according to this custom map generated by HIGH TIMES Magazine.

I found this when I was wondering if one could find a map of 420 celebration locations - surprisingingly here on 4/20, I didn't find any custom map pinpointing those.

here is the neighbourhood I grew up in on the east side of Calgary. back in the 70's, this part of town was where the new affordable subdivisions were. lots of young families.

Following are the steps to import Google Maps in Sketchup:

1.First one is very simple. At the top screen, open the GEO Location> Add Location down in the file tab. Here you can search which location you want to choose just like google map. For example you want to search England, type ‘England’ into it.

2.You can also add any custom address in here too or use the white border box to select your particular region.

3.One you have located your specific site, choose a broader information on your site or highly detailed information on your site:

i.Broader information is more useful if you have no intention to remodel the site or you are in a rural site with no surroundings of concern.

ii.More detailed version is suitable for the densely populated site and modeling a site. You can visit sketchup pro training by LiveTrainingLab.

My hometown, tagged for your pleasure

My GPS-track from Copenhagen Marathon 2008.

(I'ts colour-coded after my pulse - the water-depots can easily be seen.)

Here's the family farm on Google Earth in 2005 versus 2011. The 2011 map is thanks to NASA, which you can view HERE. It's shocking how significant difference there is from 2005 to 2011. Much of the farm is under water, and you can see, just to the south of the farm, there's another lake of flood water. Lots of it is even more of my family's land. Apparently out of my dad's land, only 50/1000 acres are not under water this year. I sure hope it gets better from now.
