While looking for directions to Broxburn Academy for this weekend, I appear to have stumbled on to this.
Okay, so the map didn't load when the zoom scale changed.
If you decide to google Google's explanation of / justification for their new logo, be prepared to waste half an hour of your valuable time, because they go on and on and ON about it and how it's going to transform your life. Talk about a society obsessed with meaningless trivia! Wasn't it Shakespeare who wrote something called 'much ado about nothing'?------'cuz that's what it is. In all honesty, if they hadn't deliberately drawn my attention to the new logo, I wouldn't even have noticed it. Now, however, as I contemplate the two of them together, I can see that the new one actually is a bit more infantile------most appropriate in our continually-dumbing-down 21st century world. I feel sorry for anyone to whom such minutiae actually matter. As long as it's not obscene, I could not possibly care less what their blinking logo looks like------they could even adopt my suggestion (see bottom item) free of charge and without crediting me. When I click that button, the only thing I want is information, quick and accurate. How they get it to me is completely irrelevant. So there, that's my rant for the day. What do YOU think?
I just kinda got this idea out of no where. yeah... you can tell it's fake but i didn't put in too much effort cuz i felt lazy. :|
anyway, i hope you like it. :)
{steal with permission please xD}

I was at Google one day and they had this art of a dinosaur eating pink flamingos. Fucking crazy Googlers.

RMT Railway Strike The final day of this RMT strike took place today with a final flourish on the picket lines throughout the land. Here in Newcastle, we were treated to some visiting dignitaries, including Gateshead Councillors, Denise Robson and John Eagle, Gateshead MP, Ian Mearns, Easington MP, Grahame Morris, and Islington North MP, Jeremy Corbyn.
The strike was called after no meaningful negotiations were possible with the Train Operating Companies and Network Rail concerning guarantees surrounding compulsory redundancies, working conditions, pension rights, and pay.
The government has stymied any attempts at meaningful negotiations by squeezing the train companies behind the scenes whilst professing to be hands off in public.
Bob Anderson was the Official Picket organiser for today.

This is the area just outside Google's main cafeteria - which should really be called a 5-star restaurant.

Just a shot of people filling up their plates with free (as in food) food. Note that the tablecloth is held down by Firefox stickers. Nice touch.
