A westbound hauls through the east side of Winona, MN on the eastbound main while a job works picking up cars quick in Winona Yard next to its train on the westbound....Wait! This isn't 1970, its 2019! And this isn't Milwaukee Road anymore! And this isn't the east and the westbound anymore. Two NS thoroughbreds haul 475 up the main through eastside Winona while the Winona Patrol is working back in Winona Yard about to bring cars up and out on the siding to head to the Carlson Pass track in Goodview after 475 clears town.

RCPE 6418 leads a 4 pack of SD40-2s on CP train #470 as it backs to its train in Goodview, MN. This was a great birthday present for me for sure! July 16th was my 39th Birthday.
Fresh from the shops at Progress Rail in Mayfield, Kentucky is CP 7050, one of an order of 60 units (road numbers 7000-7059) that are being rebuilt and designated as SD70ACU. The 7050 was originally built for the CP as SD9043MAC number 9145 in April, 1999.

After work at Goodview, CK, and Winona CP 276 runs east along the Mississippi River passing the west switch at Homer, MN on Sept. 8, 2012. This was the second eastbound that came off the DME on this Saturday. Consist was ICE 6449, DME 6071, Soo 6035, and CITX 3170.

Both of these workhorses are rich in heritage, and have held up extremely well over their 30 plus year careers. Amazingly enough, both still find themselves owned by a Class One.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of Dublin, Ireland, we enjoyed our stay, also of note, the hotel overlooks the Grand Canal, plus it's within walking distance to St. Stephen's Green, shopping, art, culture and sightseeing attractions. On another note, the Hilton Dublin is within walking distance of other Hilton family properties incl. the Conrad Dublin and the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dublin-Burlington Road.

It was crisp, but we enjoyed our walk along the Grand Canal in Dublin, Ireland from Charlemont Place towards Wilton Terrace, it was sunny, we had a blue sky, saw many people out and about, plus as a bonus we saw a barge transitting through a lock on the Grand Canal. A visit here in highly recommended, especially when staying at the equally beautiful Hilton Dublin Hotel as we did during our weekend in January 2016.
