Past regrets and future fears, turns a boy to a man sooner than planned. All the same the boy remains, even though he's free he can't fly with these heavy chains. - Corrosion of Conformity
Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the
promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue
sky?
Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
The flames are all gone, but the pain lingers on.
Goodbye, blue sky
Goodbye, blue sky.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
I always loved this photo of my.. then husband. Seems to evoke a stronger feeling now that we have gone our separate ways.

In 2010 a lot of things happened to me. Both good and bad, they were new, exciting and even useful. This year left in the past millions of memories, met me with dozens of people and places and also showed me that every thing has a reason and every thing can be useful, for example the experience you gain at the end of the whole story. And now I say ''goodbye'' to 2010 and ''hello'' to 2011!
Willem Merkx was mayor of the city of Breda from 1967 until 1983. This citygarden with sculptures was created in his honour.
[Wikipedia]
Thats right, I'll be saying goodbye to this baby soon. But not really. I just placed an order for a lati white sp Belle head :D So that head will take over this body. I'll still be keeping Ruby around and maybe one day I can afford a body for each of them ;)
This wig is too big for her, it stays on with a silicone cap but just barely.

Bhutan - going down 'memory lane' - What a better way to remember a place you just loved visiting, than to write it up in your diary. It was unbelievable to watch this traveler sit along the steep steps at the second level of the Tiger Nest Monastery, writing down his memories.
He even has a Lonely Planet book on Bhutan beside him. It was Goodbye for him and also for me !
A trip worthy of every minute. Boot-on with Bhutan!
This is what's left of a tiny school called Wrightstown. There was only about 130 kids K-5. Some of it is over 100 years old. The building on the far left thats still standing to be exact. It is being torn down so $200,000 houses can go there. I was one of the 27 kids to be in the last graduating class of that school which happened in 2010. The fields are full of gophers and have been since my dad went here in 4th grade. All I gotta say about that is: "gophers give the developers and new tenants hell!"
Demolishion work has finally started on the notorious Billybanks estate in Penarth. This once award winning designed social housing estate was clearted of nearly all its residents 10 years ago, so the place could be leveled to make way for private executive housing. After all, the view over the bay at Cardiff is exceptional, and a money spinner. However the economic slump stopped that, and the large now empty estate has remained empty since. Vandalised and subject to arson attacks, the bulldozers have finally moved in to remove the vacant premises. You can see from this picture that Royal Close has gone, and now only the one block of flats remain at the top level.

Goodbye Agra, I had fun of lifetime in the weekend in the city of Moughals with rich history and culture! I learned so much in two days that I could not in many history books I read in school!

Thursday 18th January 2007. So today is a very sad day. After battling with a "blood infection" (source still unknown) for nearly a month, Jade finally started to collapse and have fits today. After enduring 5 of these fits in a space of 3 hours this morning, it was time to take her back to the vets. In my heart of hearts i knew what the vet was going to suggest, but I never gave up hope that maybe she was just going to pull through this. But, the inevitable decision had to be made and concerns for her future health due the fits and possible other damage caused by the infection, led to the very difficult decision to have her put to sleep. Probably one the hardest decisions I have had to make in my life, but it was the kindest one for Jade.
She went quietly and with dignity and what will remain will be happy memories for all who knew and loved her. I will miss her so much, as she was my dog, pet, friend and companion and will I always remember her with fondness and love.
(As she was a rescue dog, we could only guess her age, but we believe that she was only 5 or 6 when she died).
The sun goes down and the night draws in.
We say goodbye and turn our back to the beach, reflecting on the awesome time we had at this fantastic location.

She has since passed on...Rest in peace, beautiful girl.
Summer is officially over and you can feel (and see) the coming autumn...the air is crisper, the light feels different, leaves are falling and it was very windy this morning...goodbye summer...
Goodbye love

Coming back from Lake Tahoe, along hwy 50, a stream runs along the highway for an extendend length. We were itching to stop. Our friends, who we had already said our goodbye to, called me to indicate that they had found a great spot. A few minutes later, we saw their car on the side and we pulled up right behind. They ushered us down the rocks to the stream below. Looking back towards Lake Tahoe (as in this view), a huge cloud had engulfed the Lake Tahoe valley. Relaxing in the water, we realized we did not want to leave the spot, but we finally said goodbye again to Lake Tahoe and our friends.
