I have been MIA lately, left Hawaii at the end of December...now staying in Chicago for awhile with family. There has been so much going on and once I get to Mississippi I'll be able to edit all my photos and get some up here... I miss the warm weather...

April 29th is my birthday. I am now 19 years old.

My roommate moved out today. Seeing everything completely bare is weird, and why this photo opportunity had to happen.

This year has been full of ups and downs, but I wouldn't of traded it for absolutely anything.

As my first year of college comes to an end, I am sad to go, but happy knowing that I've learned so much in such a short amount of time.

It will be nice to go home and relax for a little before starting my first and next 18 credit semester.

Goodbye, 18.

It will take a bit to load, so wait and it will show up. Enjoy, and thank you PMG!

Especially Shock and Milo, I can't thank you guys enough. It was great.

Buck saying goodbye as I left my Dad's house -- the tree behind him is one I planted when I was a kid -- a quince tree and he was trying to get to the remaining fruit. Even though it's bow and arrow season, I could already hear gun shots in the distance.

Wishing you all a healthy, peaceful and joyful new year and a huge thank you to all my flickr friends for your constant support and kind comments.

goodbye and kind parting wishes to those i met and befriended here in sf, you are all amazing.

i'll miss you, san franciscans.

i am happy to be going back to NYC, though. most of you who know me well know how much i loved it there. i had dreamed of living in NYC since i was small, and i resented having to leave (we moved out to california for my husband's work). i am blessed to be going back. and so, this move is a happy one.

poppy and i sat around the empty apartment waiting for pete to run some last random items to goodwilll after the moving truck left. she crawled around, played and laughed. we enjoyed our last moments in this apartment, where she was concieved, where i labored with her, where she lived the first 7 months of her life.

the empty rooms were filled with her gleeful giggles.

I'm a little behind on uploading on a daily basis.

This week has been very exhausting - up at 4 AM and then returning home at around 5 PM - (can't wait for the weekend to arrive) - so I'm pretty much beat up.

This shot was inspired by Pink Floyd's Goodbye Blue Sky, from the album The Wall.

It's taken with a 50mm lens through a kitchen roll - hence the heavy vignette.

Now go and enjoy the song and the video.

I could not wait for today to come. D Day. I said goodbye to all this over processed, weighing me down, rag mop on the top of my head.

As soon as, Taylor, my hairdresser, cut off the 2 braids, I LOVED it. I have had the same long hair, with relatively the same style, for over 20 years. It was time to try some new stuff.

One of the other hair dresser's said, "It's a release of the old cells that were holding onto past energy." A rebirth.

As for these old repulsive locks, they were actually much healthier looking than I had been seeing them. Taylor will send my hair and Marley's together to the Wigs for Kids foundation. That kid is such an amazing kid. He's so proud to be my inspiration.

Goodbye and good luck to a super year group!

Took advantage of the Cash for Clunkers program and traded in the best vehicle that I have ever owned (traded simply due to fuel efficiency).

I know I've posted this before, but it's a favourite.

We let Tangerine go yesterday. She was almost 14 years old - so old for such a big dog!

Her health went terribly down in the last few days, we had to say goodbye.

Needless to say she was the most loving dog I've ever known.

We'll love you always, sweet, sweet darling.

My dearest flickr friends,

The summer finally is ending, so I thought “Why not celebrate the end of summer and the start of autumn with a lovely fashion collection” ; )?

This is “Goodbye Summer”, a cute little fun collection of new boho style pieces and some basics. As always, I try to create fashions that are highly versatile and easy to combine.

The new line is picture intense, so I’d recommend to go to my “Goodbye Summer” album and there you’ll find all new designs. My etsy shop has been updated already!

May your days be sunny and bright and the new season bring us all lots of beautiful memorable moments…

Dearest greetings,

Nina*
