A memory of a great time. I drove exactly this VW Golf GTI car in the late 70s, back in 1978 it was a rocket, it was awesome at that time!

Taken a couple of months back. These ducks were feeding peacefully for a minute and the next minute started to scatter as a small Boston Terrier ran on the road escaping from its owner. The commotion was too much for these golf players :))

Somewhere between a golf course and the surface of the moon, this dimpled sphere sits suspended in its own eclipse — one hemisphere catching every fleck of light, the other dissolving into pure black. No studio softbox here, just a flash gun, three books as improvised snoot, and the stubborn physics of light showing a gradient from bright to dark. But stil not, the precise sharp line between bright to dark as shown in many textbooks.
Maybe need to make the light harder by moving the light farther away and use a proper snoot with grid.

Very old golfers playing golf. I had a long time for this shot. It took them forever to play through. They lost balls. Bickered. A golf bag fell over. One lost her keys. A hat blew off in the wind. There was a very slow chase...fervent yelling.
Golf is pretty stupid, I concluded.

Had a lot of fun on our project golf outing yesterday - it was also my bid farewell so was a bit sad as well. I should clarify that I didn't actually do much golfing - I ran around the golf course with my camera snapping photos :-).
I haven't been around much lately but hope to rectify that over the weekend. Wishing you all a wonderful one!

I took quite a few shots of this golf course and since I'm not allowed to be on it, I stood off to the side and prayed I didn't get hit or caught ( shhh, don't tell lol ). I really do wish they'd let residents walk around it without having to be a golfer, but I can understand why they don't. Oh well, on the sidelines I stand!

I can’t believe it myself… although my house is less than 500 meters from this dam… this is the very first photo that I’ve ever taken there!??
Okay… I know… the highlights are blown… and the (off-centered sun) composition really sucks! Thing is… I quite like the way that the (flared) sun is reflected in the dam… and I really love the way that the creeping shadows have already covered half of the grassy area in the foreground! A few seconds after I took these shots… and I was standing in the shade!
This Vertorama took me forever to process… the sun and its reflection were so bright that it was impossible to correctly expose for the bright bits while still retaining some details in the shadow areas. I ended up requiring five differently exposed images to correctly express the full dynamic range of this scene.
Nikon D300, Sigma 18-200mm at 18mm, aperture of f14, with a 1/320th second exposure.
