Portuguese
No Vale da Ferradura, a convivência harmônica com a natureza é um espetáculo à parte. Curta o vento, o sol, as belas vistas, um banho de cachoeira, os animais!
Aqui você encontra animais como quati, macaco-prego, bugio-ruivo, serelepe, cutia, gambá, mão-pelada, veado-mateiro, graxaim e muitos roedores. E também grande variedade de aves de extrema beleza e raridade.
Muitos deles possuem um contato próximo com os seres humanos, como é o caso, principalmente, dos quatis, e em geral você pode observá-los de perto na área principal do Vale da Ferradura, mesmo sem fazer as trilhas.
Os quatis, em grande quantidade no Vale da Ferradura, são mamíferos que se alimentam de minhocas, insetos e frutas, apreciando também ovos, legumes e especialmente lagartos. Dormem no alto das árvores, enrolados como uma bola, e não descem antes do amanhecer. Seu órgão mais sensível com certeza é seu nariz, que é móvel e muito alongado. Possui dentes e garras fortes.
O parque Vale da Ferradura está localizado ao norte do município de Canela RS, na região correspondente às coordenadas 29°16' S - 50°50' W, compreendendo um total de aproximadamente 200 ha, com altitudes que variam de 400 m a 750 m.
Fica no Planalto das Araucárias, popularmente designado como "Serra Gaúcha". Os elementos que compõem a sua flora são típicos da Floresta Ombrófila Mista Montana e da Floresta Estacional Semidecidual Montana, com áreas de transição entre as mesmas e com diversos estágios de sucessão.
A área do parque faz parte da bacia hidrográfica do rio Caí. Nesta bacia, existem 11 Unidades de Conservação municipais e/ou particulares, duas estaduais - Parque Estadual do Delta do Jacuí e Parque Estadual do Caracol - e uma Federal - Floresta Nacional de Canela.
O clima da região é superúmido, com as curvas ombrométricas das estações meteorológicas sempre positivas. Há ocorrência de três ou mais meses com temperaturas médias compensadas mensais abaixo de 15°C, que ocasionam a chamada seca fisiológica das plantas tropicais, criadora da estacionalidade.
O Vale da Ferradura possui variados micro-habitats, com áreas mais expostas a incidência solar, aos ventos e sujeitas a interferência humana, bem como áreas totalmente protegidas, sombreadas, úmidas e sujeitas a inundações periódicas. A preservação destes remanescentes aliada à atividade de educação ambiental ao mesmo tempo que ao ócio, como forma de lazer recreativo, é extremamente importante.O parque é cortado por quatro trilhas, que apresentam características peculiares: trilha do Rio Caí, trilha do Pórtico, trilha das Cutias e trilha das Pinguelas.

MIRANTES
• Mirante Vale da Ferradura
É o principal mirante do Vale da Ferradura. Dele você aprecia a vista da Cascata do Arroio Caçador e tem uma visão geral.
• Mirante do Vale do Arroio Caçador
Proporciona uma vista impressionante do vale do Arroio Caçador. O acesso é por uma trilha leve - cerca de 2 minutos.
• Mirante da Cascata do Arroio Caçador
Proporciona uma vista impressionante da cascata do Arroio Caçador. Aqui você desce 50 metros e a trilha é um pouco mais íngreme.
TRILHAS
• Trilha do Rio Caí
São 350 metros de trilha, iniciando a 750 metros altura e terminando a 400 metros altura, no ponto em que o arroio Caçador deságua no Rio Caí. É a principal trilha do parque, com maior nível de dificuldade, pelo declive do terreno. Você vai levar 60 minutos para descer, e 2 horas para subir.
Como a trilha do Rio Caí pode ser dividida em quatro trechos, você não precisa fazê-la inteira. Confira os trechos:
- O primeiro leva a dois mirantes, localizados a 700 metros de altura e de onde se tem uma belíssima vista da cascata do arroio Caçador.
- O segundo trecho vai de 700 até 550 metros de altura e é o de maior extensão e menor dificuldade.
- O terceiro trecho inicia a 550 metros de altura, ponto onde as trilhas do Rio Caí e do Pórtico se encontram, e termina a 450 metros de altura, no leito do arroio Caçador, acima da queda d’água.
- O quarto e último trecho vai de 450 a 400 metros altura e é o de maior dificuldade, pois o declive é acentuado e as condições de umidade são elevadas. Interessante é que parte deste trecho está sujeita a borrifos d’água, porque acompanha a queda da cascata. Ele termina no pé da cascata do arroio Caçador e às margens do Rio Caí, em uma área plana, local para um descanso merecido.
• Trilha do Pórtico
A trilha do Pórtico tem 200 metros, iniciando a 750 metros de altura e terminando a 550 metros de altura, onde se encontra com a trilha do Rio Caí. Nela existe um recanto conhecido como Cascata do Graxaim, e podem ser admiradas araucárias e xaxins.
• Trilha das Cotias
É uma bela trilha, com muita sombra, sem esforço físico, para todas as idades e condicionamentos físicos. Dá para dizer que, mais que uma trilha, é um passeio em meio à natureza. Encontra-se na faixa entre 700 e 750 metros de altura, no platô do parque, acima da trilha do Pórtico. Aprecie a bela paisagem de cactus e bromélias na área mais rochosa.
• Trilha das Pinguelas
Também está entre 700 e 750 metros de altura, porém voltada para a bela vista do Vale da Ferradura. A trilha das Pinguelas acompanha um pequeno arroio e você aproveita a sombra da copa das árvores.
Localização e informações gerais
O parque Vale da Ferradura fica na Serra Gaúcha, em Canela RS, a 13 km do centro, no Km 6 da RS 466, mais conhecida como Estrada do Caracol. Funciona das 8h30 às 17h30. No verão, quando o sol se põe bastante tarde na Região Sul, este horário pode ser estendido.
Para chegar, pegue a Estrada do Caracol, que está localizada logo ao chegar a Canela, vindo de Gramado, e vá sempre por essa via, seguindo as placas. Após o Parque do Caracol, a estrada é de terra, por alguns quilômetros.

The Lowline, formally known as the Delancey Underground, is a proposal for the world's first underground park in the New York City borough of Manhattan that would be located under the eastbound roadway of Delancey Street on the Lower East Side, adjacent to the Essex Street station (J M Z trains). Co-founders James Ramsey and Dan Barasch have suggested natural light would be directed below ground using fiber optics—described in the proposed plan as "remote skylights"—to provide an area in which trees and grass could be grown beneath the city streets.Light collectors would be placed at ground level, with suggested locations, including the median on Delancey Street. Artificial lighting would be used to supplement the redirect sunlight, and at night and when the sun is obscured by clouds. The area, with ceilings 20 feet (6.1 m) high, extends three blocks east from Essex Street to Clinton Street and was used until 1948 as a station and balloon loop for streetcars crossing the Williamsburg Bridge to and from Brooklyn. The High Line (also known as the High Line Park) is a 1.45-mile-long (2.33 km) New York City linear park built in Manhattan on an elevated section of a disused New York Central Railroad spur called the West Side Line. Inspired by the 3-mile (4.8-kilometer) Promenade plantée (tree-lined walkway), a similar project in Paris completed in 1993, the High Line has been redesigned and planted as an aerial greenway and rails-to-trails park.
The High Line Park is built on the disused southern portion of the West Side Line running to the Lower West Side of Manhattan. It runs from Gansevoort Street – three blocks below 14th Street – in the Meatpacking District, through Chelsea, to the northern edge of the West Side Yard on 34th Street near the Javits Convention Center. An unopened spur extends above 30th Street to Tenth Avenue. Formerly, the West Side Line went as far south as a railroad terminal to Spring Street just north of Canal Street; however, most of the lower section was demolished in 1960, with another small portion of the lower section being demolished in 1991.
Repurposing of the railway into an urban park began construction in 2006, with the first phase opening in 2009, and the second phase opening in 2011.The third and final phase officially opened to the public on September 21, 2014. A short stub above Tenth Avenue and 30th Street, is still closed as of September 2014, but will open by 2017, once the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project is completed. The project has spurred real estate development in the neighborhoods that lie along the line. As of September 2014, the park gets nearly 5 million visitors annually. あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

I was bored tonight so I decided to drive around for an hour to see what I could find to shoot. I was about to give up as the sun began to set, but as I passed this old barn (which has been featured on my photostream a number of times), I thought it would look great as a silhouette. I took a number of shots with the sun behind the barn, but liked this one the best with the canola growing on either side.

Constatou-se então que a Linha Palmeiro e parte da Linha Pedro Salgado, área abrangida basicamente pelo Distrito de São Pedro, composto por 7 comunidades, (São Pedro, São Miguel, Barracão, São José da Busa, Cruzeiro, Santo Antonio e Santo Antoninho) possuía o maior acervo de casas antigas, conservava sua cultura e história, tinha acesso fácil e, conseqüentemente, um grande potencial turístico, apesar da decadência e abandono por que vinha passando desde a década de 1970 com a mudança de traçado da rodovia que ligava Porto Alegre ao norte do estado.
Esse precioso acervo material, parcialmente abandonado e esquecido, exigia uma ação rápida para não ter a mesma sorte de tantas e tantas casas de pedra, madeira e alvenaria que acabaram ruindo ou sendo demolidas. Com recursos do Hotel Dall’Onder as primeiras 4 casas foram restauradas e passaram a receber visitação e outras tiveram obras emergenciais. O primeiro grupo de turistas proveniente de São Paulo, através da Operadora CVC foi recebido na Casa Merlo, Casa Bertarello, Ferraria Ferri e Cantina Strapazzon em 30 de maio de 1992.
O sucesso do novo roteiro animou tanto os idealizadores quanto a comunidade. Em 10 de julho de 1997, com assessoria do SEBRAE foi fundada a Associação Caminhos de Pedra, congregando empreendedores e simpatizantes. Montou-se então um projeto abrangente que contemplava o resgate de todo o patrimônio cultural, não só o arquitetônico, envolvendo língua, folclore, arte, habilidades manuais, etc. Este ambicioso projeto foi aprovado pelo Conselho Estadual de Cultura em 10 de agosto de 1998 passando a partir de então a captar recursos das empresas locais através da recém criada LIC (Lei de Incentivo à Cultura do Estado do RS).
Atualmente a Associação Caminhos de Pedra conta com mais de uma centena de associados e o projeto, considerado pioneiro no Brasil em termos de turismo rural e cultural, está recebendo uma visitação média anual de 60.000 turistas. O roteiro está em expansão e possui 15 pontos de Visitação (assinalados em vermelho no mapa) e 56 pontos de Observação Externa (assinalados no mapa com letra verde).
De acordo com a Lei Estadual 13.177/09, que nos declarou patrimônio histórico do RS, considera-se como área de abrangência dos Caminhos de Pedra a Linhas Palmeiro e Pedro Salgado, localizadas nos municípios de Bento Gonçalves e Farroupilha, até o limite do município de Caxias do Sul, passando por Caravaggio.
Seguem algumas informações históricas
O surgimento da Linha Palmeiro
O Presidente da Província de São Pedro do Rio Grande do Sul, João Sertório, encarregou em 4 de abril de 1870 o engenheiro Major José Maria da Fontoura Palmeiro de proceder à medição e demarcação dos territórios que ele mesmo, por Ato de 24 de maio de 1870, denominou de colônias Conde D’Eu (hoje Garibaldi) e Dona Isabel (hoje Bento Gonçalves) onde mandou construir em cada uma um barracão para abrigar os colonos. Em homenagem ao seu demarcador o primeiro território demarcado na Colônia Dona Isabel passou a se chamar Linha Palmeiro.
O local que acolheu o Major Palmeiro em 1870 e posteriormente os imigrantes italianos a partir do final de 1875 é o atual bairro do Barracão, berço, portanto, da cidade de Bento Gonçalves e também porta de entrada dos Caminhos de Pedra. A Linha Palmeiro é uma das maiores linhas da colonização italiana com 200 lotes de 48,4 ha cada.
Esta Linha que, inicialmente, não passava de uma picada tortuosa no meio da mata tentando acompanhar uma linha imaginária reta que foi se desenvolvendo rapidamente pois era o único eixo de ligação entre a Colônia Dona Isabel com a Colônia Caxias. A picada foi virando estrada carroçável pelo trabalho dos próprios imigrantes que vendiam suas diárias ao governo, e posteriormente, passagem dos primeiros automóveis e caminhões.
A prosperidade da Linha Palmeiro é citada em inúmeros relatórios como os do Consul Italiano em Porto Alegre, Enrico Perrod de 1880: “Visitei uma colônia na Linha Palmeiro e encontrei na terra de um só agricultor todas as frutas da Itália: Castanhas, maçãs, pêras, laranjas, cerejas e nozes, juntamente com plantas de café, cana-de-açúcar e fumo.”(cfr. Rovílio Costa et alii, 1992, EST, As Colônias italianas Dona Isabel e Conde D’Eu, pg 21) ou do Cônsul italiano em Porto Alegre, Pascoale Corte, que aponta em seu relatório de 1884: “Atravessando um mato por um estreito caminho, chega-se, após quatro horas de viagem a cavalo, aos confins da Colônia Dona Isabel, exatamente na entrada de uma das linhas mais desmatadas e populosas: a Linha Palmeiro. Ali começa uma estrada carroçável que conduz à sede da colônia. Esta estrada é a mais pitoresca de todas.” (cfr. Rovílio Costa et alii, op. cit. pág 25).
Ao longo de todo o trecho foram rapidamente sendo construídas belas e confortáveis moradias em pedra, madeira e alvenaria, bem como variados empreendimentos comerciais como ferrarias, serrarias, moinhos, etc. Como os lotes eram grandes, normalmente eram assentadas duas famílias por lote, uma em cada extremidade.
O visitante que ingressar nos Caminhos de Pedra pelo Barracão estará, pois, utilizando a mesma porta de entrada dos primeiros imigrantes, revivendo de certa forma, as mesmas sensações dos recém-chegados, através das histórias contadas pelos seus descendentes. Não deixe de dar esse mergulho na história da imigração italiana no Rio Grande do Sul.
Barracão, Berço de Bento Gonçalves
Assim escreve em seu relatório o Agente Consular Italiano em Bento Gonçalves, Luigi Petrocchi, em dezembro de 1905: “A sede da nova Colônia Dona Isabel (hoje Bento Gonçalves), foi traçada em 1875, em um vale entre dois cursos d’água, num local baixo, próximo ao barracão dos imigrantes, e chamada então de cidade branca, devido às tendas feitas de lençóis. Por comodidade, porém, a diretoria transferiu a administração para um local elevado, chamado Cruzinha, no meio de um pinhal, a 3 Km de distância.” (cfr. Rovílio Costa et alii, op. cit. Pág. 73). O imigrante Giuseppe Dall’Acqua em seus apontamentos de viagem assim descrevem o Barracão no ano de 1878: “Depois de um percurso de uma hora e meia pelo mato virgem, por uma estrada íngreme, em degraus e barrenta, chegaram, após uma longa descida, a uma várzea perto de um rio, em cuja margem esquerda havia três ou quatro habitações rústicas,(...) e uma alta construção de um só plano e mal vedada, com longas taquaras pregadas na parede, horizontalmente, e cobertas de barro e folhas. Este lugar quase solitário e sem nome, fora destinado para a sede da Colônia Dona Isabel, mas ninguém sabia do motivo do não cumprimento da escolha da localidade para sede da futura cidade. Aquele casarão construído com barro (...) fora edificado para abrigar temporariamente os imigrantes e assim, com o tempo, tanto a localidade como o rio tomaram o nome de Barracão”. (Manuscrito de Giuseppe Dall’Acqua, 1901, in Rovílio Costa e Arlindo Battistel, 1983, Assim vivem os italianos, pág. 1172).
A partir de 1875 o Barracão começou a receber, e hospedar provisoriamente as primeiras levas de imigrantes. Ali eles recebiam seus lotes, algumas ferramentas, sementes e um pouco de alimentos. Isso, porém, só acontecia após uma longa espera que podia chegar a diversos meses. Os colonos eram cadastrados e tudo o que recebessem, inclusive alimentos, ferramentas e principalmente a terra, era-lhes lançado como dívida com o Governo Imperial que deveria ser quitada no prazo de 10 anos. Tudo foi planejado para que o local fosse a sede da colônia Dona Isabel, mas já em 1876, não se sabem bem os motivos, a sede da colônia foi transferida para onde hoje é o centro da cidade de Bento Gonçalves.
Patrimônio Histórico e Cultural do RS
Graças à restauração das casas e a visitação turística desencadeou-se nas comunidades que o compõem um movimento cultural que permitiu o surgimento de várias iniciativas que visam preservar não só o patrimônio material, mas também o imaterial. Exemplos dessa vitalidade cultural que palpita em todo o Roteiro são a preservação do dialeto “talian” (língua típica dos imigrantes do lugar), a Casa da Memória e os grupos artístico-culturais (dança italiana, flauta doce, banda musical, orquestra de câmara, coro e teatro) que se apresentam em ocasiões especiais ou por solicitação expressa nos restaurantes do Roteiro.
O fato de concentrar o maior acervo arquitetônico da imigração italiana em meio rural do país e a preocupação com a preservação do patrimônio histórico material e imaterial rendeu aos Caminhos de Pedra o qualificativo de “museu vivo”. Em 2009 por iniciativa do Dep. Estadual Jerônimo Pizzoloto Güerguen, e apoio do IPHAE (Instituto de Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico do Estado) foi declarado patrimônio histórico e cultural do RS pela Lei Estadual 13.177/09 promulgada pela então Governadora Yeda Rorato Crusius.

Main story
There are two reasons why a person faces the sea.
One # to enjoy a slice of shine in the sea like children bubbling over in the beach.
The other # to brush the dust of memory like an old man who misses old days # staring at the shine
quietly.
Those lead to only one meaning though they do not seem to overlap. It’s a rebirth.
I face myself to change tomorrow # a vague day into something certain.
That is the meaning of a rebirth.
I had a very sweet girlfriend when I was 18.
After she left # I knew the meaning of gentleness for the first time and also a true pain of loss. After
she left # how many times did I depend too much on her # doubt her # envy her and keep on telling lies
until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However # I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see
something in me. Perhaps she found a slight possibility in me # a guy filled with ambiguous # unstable
tomorrow. But I wasted days depending too much on her gentleness.
Now I finally can convey how I felt in those days when we met.

このロットナンバーは、眠っていたレオナルドダヴィンチの作品がオークションにかけらた際に付されたものです。
作品にはサインなどがいっさい記されていなかったため、彼の作品だと断定できませんでした。
しかし、様々な鑑定の結果、陽の光を浴びました。
誰にも気づかれない作品。肩書がなくとも静かに語りかける作品。
僕はこれから様々な形で、多くの皆様に提供できるよう努めてゆきます。

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。
