Since I'm not a glutton for punishment, I don't head out shopping at midnight the day after Thanksgiving. Instead, I prefer to help get the house decked out for the holidays.

Today meant that the pointsettia wreath went up on the front door, and the homemade wooden Santa went out onto the front porch.

Tomorrow? LIGHTS!

Chrome Hill, view from Parkhouse Hill.

A bit of a tribute to Dad - Chrome Hill and Parkhouse Hill are amongst his favourite spots for taking photos. He has some amazing shots taken around here in all seasons (robinweaver.co.uk/favourite-place.html), including (so I thought) a very similar view to this, with this exact tree in the foreground. Apparently it's not this tree after all, but it's still a rather good viewpoint.

Considering how long I've been exploring the Peak District, it's taken me a long time to get out this way. This was the first time I'd visited Parkhouse Hill (okay, the second, but the first time I was too late for sunset so didn't climb up).
