Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a pink or purple day at Color my world Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is shimmer and glitter. So of course, i had to find a glittery egg, and guess what ? I already had one in my collection of Easter Eggs. Luckily for me, I’m a hoarder and I’m very disorganized so the glittery eater egg was laying around waiting on an awesome Flickr challenge to participate….
In my opinion a glitter egg must have some awesome friends: a crazy disco ball X-mas ornament and a tiny glittery bauble. With a trio like this: glitter and shimmer is guarantee and every party will be a success. I hope this picture will make you smile !!

I will be mainly off during the holiday season, so I just want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas or whatever you celebrate, and hope that you are able to spend time with loved ones. I am very thankful for all of you, who have given me so much encouragement, kind words, and friendship over the past years.
So, this shot has been sitting on my hard drive since I took it back in January 2017, I loved the fractured reflection and the sort of dark, surreal alternate reality it conveyed with golden glitter and distorted classic architecture. It's as if the building is saying, "Look at me" but it's not real, it's a distortion of reality taken from the surrounding buildings. Take away the reflection and it's dark building that struggles to convey power and strength, a false power and strength but alluring all the same. So it's with this in mind that it never got posted.
I decided to post it today because of some factors that seem to have come together. One is the obvious end of a four year nightmare and one has to do with me just missing a good walk in the city due to COVID. I've been looking through my archive folders at city pics that never were posted and thinking now is the time. Along this line, I was conversing with Leon, a new contact here on Flickr and was a bit surprised to find that he hadn't seen any architectural shots in my photostream. The reason goes back to not being able to get to NYC or any city for that matter since COVID started so not much architectural or travel photography in quite some time.
With this in mind it seems the time is right to post this shot.

I carried on from the card I started for last week's Macro Mondays and applied appropriate letters for a birthday card. I used an extra square to put a blob of glitter glue on it. I wouldn't have liked to mess up the card. I use glitter glue a lot, it is more effective than pens on coloured paper.

I use glitter glue to put my tags and bows on presents. This is a blob of it on glass above the metallic wrapping paper. The little hexagonal bits are glitter. HMM!

This is Perugia, my regional capital, I must say that I found the city in great shape compared to the last time I visited and I had also spoken here ... clean, well lit, many nice places to eat "young" cheap, .... I hope it is not just an impression of my enthusiasm ....

We took a very early morning walk on the dunes and enjoyed seeing the glitter of the sun on Lake Michigan.
My youngest daughter today was working on a craft project and took advantage of the glitter all over the place ...
It was the 3rd evening of our holiday (27/12/2015) and we went to experience and photograph the beautiful sunset over Lake Taupo!! The time was 7:28pm
