I carried on from the card I started for last week's Macro Mondays and applied appropriate letters for a birthday card. I used an extra square to put a blob of glitter glue on it. I wouldn't have liked to mess up the card. I use glitter glue a lot, it is more effective than pens on coloured paper.
Great Purple Hairstreak. This small beautiful black butterfly (1.25 - 1.5", 32 - 38 mm) has a "false head" on the rear of its wings that it constantly undulates fanning its tips. Its bright vibrant colors against the black sends an un-palatable warning to any would be predators.

"They come all the way from Rome,
a place called Trastevere, the other side of Rome "over the river Tibre"
I got them at a small shop where they make glass in a traditional way.
They "flew" all the way from Rome to Paris and then to Fortuna California..."
until I find the perfect thing to do with them, they reside on the table by my bed.
