Didn't sound interesting, and only went because we got half price tickets, but it was surprisingly enjoyable. Didn't anticipate the plot twists, nor the ending. Four accomplished actors that we didn't know, but the audeince seemed to recognise from various TV roles. Lucy (daughter of Danny) DeVito, Leslie Hendrix (Medical Examiner on Law & Order), Kenny Morris (varoius roles) and Michael Mastro (Nurse Jackie).

I figured two things with this one, if I was going to do the work shot at all I may as well do it early and different. I actually really like the way the pano came out, especially seeing as I've never done one before.
Work dominated me mentally tonight, this shot is definitely appropriate. I actually want to do another one of these from a different vantage point, but given that I need heavy machinery to get up there it might be a while.
I was given a couple of samples of Mackmyra whisky to take home today. I have never tried this whisky before. I understand the red bottle is the very first release from this distillery - a small cask which turned out 200 bottles. The blue bottle is the first vatting, i.e. the first main release. It is a privilege to try both, which were given to me by my friends Steve and Alexia. They fed us curry tonight, a lovely evening. I am going to wait to try the whiskies, because I have a bit of a blocked nose just now and I would not be able to taste them properly. But I will come back and add my tasting notes later.

Treasury Board President Anita Anand says that increases in Senior's benefits are too generous and need curtailed in future Liberal budgets ? Question,, how in the world do you cut back on a Seniors old age pension raise of nothing, zero, if you were a Senior aged 65 to 75 ?
.

Her Liberal Party plans to increase help for Millennials and Gen X apparently by cutting back on Seniors benefits ?

this blouse was given to me by my sweetie's grandma, and i could actually wear it if i wasn't afraid to mess it up. it's in remarkable condition and very pretty. it was nighttime and i still needed a Photo of the Day for my website, which makes me took a closer look at what i have on hand, and get creative about what's creative! ;) i like the simplicity of the black and white, yet it's still so striking.
5x7 and 4x6 prints also available.
Years ago, I was given a 12-string acoustic guitar with a few problems. It has been at the back of the cupboard after was obvious it would not tune up properly.
I took it out a couple of weeks ago and am hoping to bring it back to playable condition. The neck looks good, the body looks good except for a high action, the body has a belly bulge, and the bridge has started to pull away (these issues are related).
Today, I managed to remove the bridge ... and the problem is obvious! If the bridge had been attached properly there would be no lacquer under the bridge and the entire undersurface of the bridge would have been bonded to the top with glue. Obviously, both of those requirements have not been followed - and it is a 12-string too! It's a wonder that the bridge held on at all!
Looking at the photo, I'm not really sure what we are looking at on the surface of the guitar. There appears to at least be an opaque white layer between what looks like wood grain and the real wood underneath.
I'm looking forward to a well glued bridge, most of the belly bulge has gone and the action is much, much lower.

What is a dual zone swim spa?
A Dual Zone Swim Spa is an innovative combination of a swim spa and a hot tub in a single unit. This hybrid design offers two distinct areas with separate temperature controls, merging the fitness advantages of swim spas with the relaxation benefits of hot tubs into a space-saving and cost-efficient solution, rather than requiring two individual installations.
On one side, the dual zone swim spa is equipped for swimming and exercise, featuring robust swim jets that create a current to swim against. The opposite side serves as a hot tub, a sanctuary for relaxation and recovery after a demanding day.
Here, the water temperature can be independently adjusted to suit relaxation needs, ensuring an ideal setting for both vigorous exercise and serene relaxation.
The optimal dual zone swim spa combines energy efficiency with premium features akin to those offered by #WellisSpa, setting the standard for luxury in swim spa experiences.

April 24, 2022 - Our final stop on our AHI Travel walking tour of Bruges before we were given free time is the Market square and the Belfry of Bruges. "The Market square is dominated by the cloth hall and the 83 meter high Belfry tower, one of the symbols of the city. The original cloth hall and tower date from 1240. The first tower, however, was destroyed by fire in 1280. At the time of the fire the four wings of the cloth hall already existed, as well as the two square segments of the belfry. The present octagonal lantern was added to the tower between 1482 and 1486. The wooden spire that crowned the tower was again destroyed by fire in 1493 and 1741. After the last fire it was never rebuilt. Like in most cities of the Low Countries the belfry tower was the place where the important documents of the city were preserved. At the same time such towers were used as watchtowers. Inside hung bells, each bell having a distinct sound and function (e.g.: bells for danger, bells for important announcements, bells to indicate the time, etc.).
The entire complex still bears witness to the importance of Bruges as a medieval trade center. In the cloth hall, the Flemish cloth which was manufactured in different other cities was sold to the rest of the world. In 1399, for instance, there were 384 sales stands inside the hall.
Nowadays, the belfry tower charms the visitor with the lovely music of a carillion, which consists of 47 bells. Other more recent decorations are the sculpture of the Madonna in renaissance style and the weapon with a Belgian lion." I was given a beautiful Baccarat amber crystal for Christmas. When I held it up to the light images of the outside world were reflected inside it. Here the window is reflected twice.
A long day, with three site visits.
Ireland seems green. I mean it is green, 500 shades of green, doubly so when the sun shines, but a lot is given over to farming, so the parts showing the original nature are pretty much restricted to nooks and corners and reserves, which can mean having to travel miles between them to see a particular species.
So after a hearty Irish breakfast at eight, we assembled to load the cars at nine for the hour long drive to a small nature reserve about 70km north of Sligo.
We headed north through Ballyshannon and Donegal, the roads were good and traffic light. One feature is even two lane roads have a hard shoulder to the left of a dotted yellow line, for tractors mainly, it seems, but slow driver can, but usually don't, pull over.
There are regular filling stations, each with a place where you can get freshly made sandwiches or rolls. Like Subway but with real bread. It is true, that Subway cannot call their bread "bread" as it contains too much sugar.
So it goes.
After Donegal, we leave the main roads and head towards the coast. On the edge of an estuary, inland from some dunes, we stop and park.
The walk down the lane was rewarded with dozens of damselflies in the hedge, many defying identification for now anyways.
Over a stone style onto the reserve, and the first magenta coloured Early Marsh revealed itself.
On beside the brook we went, before the landscape opened out, and went out onto the flood plane, where there were many more Early Marsh, magenta and dark pink, so emerging Heath Spotted and several Lesser Butterflies just about to flower.
A huge tick was the arrival of a newly emerged Marsh Fritillary, who gave good long displays of under and overwings, so much so we all got shots.
Back to the car past the demselflies and butterflies of the hedge, then all back in the car drive further north to St John's Point, collecting sandwiches and wraps from a filling station on the way.
This was our second site for the day: a peninsular stretching out into the east Atlantic, living in a bog nearly at the end, soaking their roots hidden from the track that passes nearby.
In the distance, a thunderstorm rumbled, and the sunny and warm morning had given way to a darker and gloomier afternoon with the promise of rain sooner rather than later.
We saw the orchid, though I bailed again on a trek to see more lower down in wetter conditions, so limped back to the car.
I sat and listened to podcasts while people watching as they came to the small beach. All the while, distant thunder echoed around the landscape, getting more distant.
Over an hour later, the others came back, so we drove over an hour away to a large dune system.
It had been a long day, we were tired, and more storms were building, the sunshine of the morning was a distant memory, and a cool wind had set in.
We walked in file up into the dunes, turning off after a while, looking for tiny spikes among the other vegetation.
After an hour, over a dozen were found, but all had done over to seed and were going brown, as the Dense Flowered Orchid only flowers for a few days.
But these counts.
I walked back to the car while the rest did some more exploring, and so at half seven we all climbed in, happy with the day, and dreaming of fish and chips from a nearby town. But the chippy closed at eight and was half an hour away, and sure enough when we arrived, it was closing.
We went to a nearby bar, who were very accommodating in seating eight without reservations and serving us promptly and for me, one of the best vegetable curries I have had.
The two pints of Guinness I fell were well earned.
After that, we went back outside, the rain had arrived, so we rushed back to the car, and had a 70 minute drive through the gathering gloom back to Sligo, not getting back until half ten.
Phew.

Marsh Lousewort was formerly classified as a member of the Scrophulariaceae (Figwort) family, but it has recently been moved into the Broomrape family.
It is characterised by a upright branching stems with feathery-looking leaves, and grows up to 60cm which is much taller than its much commoner relative Pedicularis sylvatica, which only achieves a height of about 20cm.
Marsh Lousewort is fairly common in the westerly parts of Britain, and it is more generally widespread throughout Ireland.
Marsh Lousewort is unlike Lousewort Pedicularis sylvatica, which grows in acid marshy soils, in another important way, too: it is tolerant of more alkaline soils and so grows in fens such as the Anglesey Fens on the island of Anglesey in North Wales.

Days before New year day Guruji had given Darshans for Matajis and Prabhus separately and Guruji had given satsangs and talks encouraging us all to sing the divine names with Him.
For New years eve a livestream production had occurred here on site to give the internationally community an overview of activities worldwide, including the inauguration of the Sri Vitalla Dham ashram and the Paranitya temple which through Gurujis grace have manifested.
The new years celebrations began in the temple with euphoric Kirtan getting everyone on their feet. At midnight Guruji began the new year with offering Arati to the deities gracing us all with His presence. The night continued with fireworks and then to the tent with Premavahini, a band from Croatia, offering their heart in song, leading us into the new year with Harinaam.
New years day again was a spectacular morning where Guruji gave us the opportunity to witness abhishekam to His personal deities. He ended the festivities with a beautiful talk on the importance of being grateful. Not just for the year but everyday and wishing everyone not just a happy new year but Happy days and that we understand the importance of being grateful for every day that has been given to us by God.

I was given an opportunity to shoot some pictures at a silent auction that was held at the House Of Blues in Anaheim. I was not getting paid nor were they using my pictures just merely for the experience. It was a great experience having to learn and overcome difficult lighting situations. Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.
