Assistant Coach.
Dave Givens may be labled with many titles as he enters his third year with the Timbers organization. As a part-time administrative assistant in 1977, Givens was a public relations assistant while holding down coaching additions at Judson Baptist and Warner Pacific Colleges. Two years later he acts as an afficial coach, scout, front office employee, and part time goal keeper. (Subsituting for Jim Gorsek last season until Gorseks injury healed.) Givens with wife Nancy and three children Todd, 7-year-old; Marc 6-year-old; and Molly 3-year-old, he has been a Portloand resident for over 6 years. He graduated from Biola College in Las Angeles where he represented the West squad in the first ever Senior Bowl All-Star-Match for American players before coming to Portland.

Given that she was running a 40 C fever that day she was doing rather well - something that could not be said of her mother.
This beautiful photo was given to me by my girlfriend Lucille Brace, these cane fields are near her home. embracedangelphotography.com/ ...

given to me by my aunt...this is my dad's mother's engagement ring.
the other ring in the image is one that i had made many years ago, with the small accent diamonds from my mom's mother's wedding ring...my sister, my mom and my aunts all have jewelry made from that ring as well.
Given the deteriorating situation vis a vis Russia and NATO, I thought perhaps I should brush up on my battlefield casualty drills in case I get my call up papers! Must look up my Fit to Fight NBC book next.
I was given the opportunity this year to sponsor the Budget Savvy Bridal Show that was put on by Totally Beautiful Moments and MBT Marketing Solutions.
Just at the look of the crowd that nearly filled every available space in the building, I'd say the event was a success! I was blessed with the duty of capturing the event and manning my booth during the event, which turned out to be pretty interesting. It turned out better than I thought and I was able to talk with several prospects to say the least. Mrs. Peterson had to do some school work and be mom, so she was unable to woman the booth this time around. She owes me one!!! Here is what happened at the show. To see what happened on the Red Carpet, check out my man JMF Photography!
Stay tuned...more to come.

A view down the race course at the tent city that pops up on the banks of the Schuylkill on any given Sunday in Spring.
Team supporters bring various noisemakers to signify their support to their athletes, with the cowbell being the instrument of choice.
Fortunately, the vuvuzela made a short-lived appearance post-World Cup.

Given to the French by the Egyptians in the 1800s, King Louis Philippe placed it on the spot where the guillotine stood.
During the French Revolution, the Place de la Concorde was called the Place de la Révolution and executions took place here, including the execution of Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette and Maximilien Robespierre.

Solomon George Givens and his wife Lula (Burleson), both born in Houston County in 1871, were the children of former slaves. They were married in Crockett in 1891, and in 1892 they bought 34 acres of land here. Their farm proved a success and in 1893 they built a large 8-room house at this site. The Givenses were noted for their charity and as leaders in the development of a nearby school and Baptist church; baptism services took place in a tank on their land. For many years their home was the center of the African American farming community known as "Givens Hill". (1994) (Marker No. 9864)
Days before New year day Guruji had given Darshans for Matajis and Prabhus separately and Guruji had given satsangs and talks encouraging us all to sing the divine names with Him.
For New years eve a livestream production had occurred here on site to give the internationally community an overview of activities worldwide, including the inauguration of the Sri Vitalla Dham ashram and the Paranitya temple which through Gurujis grace have manifested.
The new years celebrations began in the temple with euphoric Kirtan getting everyone on their feet. At midnight Guruji began the new year with offering Arati to the deities gracing us all with His presence. The night continued with fireworks and then to the tent with Premavahini, a band from Croatia, offering their heart in song, leading us into the new year with Harinaam.
New years day again was a spectacular morning where Guruji gave us the opportunity to witness abhishekam to His personal deities. He ended the festivities with a beautiful talk on the importance of being grateful. Not just for the year but everyday and wishing everyone not just a happy new year but Happy days and that we understand the importance of being grateful for every day that has been given to us by God.
