Classic Rock songs zullen in een wervelende show worden vertolkt. Verwacht nummers van Van Halen, Foreigner, Rainbow, Ozzy, Whitesnake, Foghat, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Journey en vele anderen. De band bestaat volledig uit muzikanten die gaan voor het beste, en als geen ander weten waar het ROCK publiek op zit te wachten: moddervette riffs, dampende gitaren, beukende dubbele bassdrum, ronkende bass, een zwellend Hammond organ en een dijk van een zanger die het allemaal moeiteloos aankan – kortom The Metal Studs!

Classic Rock songs will be performed in a dazzling show. Expect songs from Van Halen, Foreigner, Rainbow, Ozzy, Whitesnake, Foghat, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Journey and many others. The band consists entirely of musicians who go for the best, and know better than anyone else what the ROCK audience is waiting for: fat riffs, steaming guitars, pounding double bass drum, roaring bass, a swelling Hammond organ and a hell of a singer who can handle it all effortlessly – in short, The Metal Studs!

3FM was aanwezig bij het Songbird festival in de Doelen in Rotterdam. Bring It On met Sander Guis en PS Radio met Paul Rabbering en Janine Abbring waren er aanwezig en deden verslag van het festival. 3fm.nu/hoewassongbird
Fredrik får prøve gitaren til Ståle så lenge han ikke spiller Dire Straits på den, blir vi enige om. Fredrik godtar det da han heller ikke er overbegeistra for Dire Straits.
Alkaloid Progressive Death Metal
Progressieve extreme metallers Alkaloid bereiden zich voor om hun nieuwe full-length met veel tentakels, ‘Numen’, te ontvouwen via Season of Mist. Met leden van Triptykon, Obscura, Dark Fortress en Obsidious bouwt het in Duitsland gevestigde kwartet van Morean (zang, gitaren, concepten), Hannes Grossmann (drums), Christian Münzner (gitaar) en Linus Klausenitzer (bas) voort op, breidt uit weg van en reis tussen eerdere langspelers The Malkuth Grimoire (2015) en Liquid Anatomy (2018) op Numen. In elk opzicht hervat Alkaloid de doelbewuste warp van verschillende metalgenres die ze dimensionaal vervagen. Nummers als de video-single voor ‘Clusterfuck’, ‘The Cambrian Explosion’ en ‘Numen’ poneren zware kosmologische/Lovecraftiaanse theoretische thema’s bovenop muzikaal bedreven nummers die toegankelijk en toch onmiskenbaar ingewikkeld ziin.

Alkaloid Progressive Death Metal
Progressive extreme metallers Alkaloid are preparing to unfurl their new multi-tentacled full-length, 'Numen', via Season of Mist. Featuring members of Triptykon, Obscura, Dark Fortress and Obsidious, the Germany-based quartet of Morean (vocals, guitars, concepts), Hannes Grossmann (drums), Christian Münzner (guitar) and Linus Klausenitzer (bass) builds on, expands on from and journey between previous long players The Malkuth Grimoire (2015) and Liquid Anatomy (2018) on Numen. In every respect, Alkaloid resumes the deliberate warp of various metal genres that blurs them dimensionally. Songs like the video single for 'Clusterfuck', 'The Cambrian Explosion' and 'Numen' posit heavy cosmological/Lovecraftian theoretical themes on top of musically adept songs that are accessible yet undeniably complex.
