Eastern meadowlark is songbird that belongs to the blackbird family. There are 17 subspecies of eastern meadowlarks that can be found in the eastern parts of North, Central and South America. Eastern meadowlark inhabits grasslands, prairies, pastures, agricultural fields and areas near the roads. Accelerated development of agriculture and pollution of the ground with pesticides negatively affect survival of eastern meadowlarks in the wild. Despite these factors, population of eastern meadowlarks is still large and stable.
I found this one along my favorite road. Joe Overstreet Road in Osceola County, Florida.

It's a hot summer night and CPR's Megantic local has arrived back at Sherbrooke. With the restroom stop, coffee, and good ole' ribbing out of the way, it's time get back to work and yard the train. Next up will be to get a drink for the MLW RS18 from a local fuel provider.

In una delle prime gite Cai, su un monte della Liguria, dopo il pensionamento, in una delle pochissime foto che ho.
Rifuggivo da tutto ciò che è tecnico ( come dai computer ) e quindi, anche se gli amici Cai mi sgridavano giustamente non poco, anche dalle racchette. Non mi piaceva avere tra le mani della plastica, mi piaceva sentire il legno, era come un legame con la terra.
E poi, prima che inventassero le racchette tecniche come facevano?
Così raccattavo il primo bastone che trovavo, come questo.
È andata avanti così per un bel po'.
Finché un giorno, ricordo ancora ora sopra Lavagna, il bastone, troppo secco, si spezzò. Fu una brutta caduta e, per salvare il cellulare, mi ero fatta male a una spalla.
Anche allora non ero andata da un medico e il male durò mesi. Poi si vede che la spalla è andata a posto da sola.
Mi rimane questo ricordo.
Ora i bastoncini li uso eccome. Ne ho appena comprato uno bello.
Uno solo, perché con l'altra mano tengo il telefonino.

Old school maintenance is witnessed at Sherbrooke, Quebec. The asbestos car off the Quebec Central was in need of a truck swap out and with an air compressor to lift the flat and a hand brake applied 40 foot box car to keep things in place, it wasn't long before it was time for a Labatt's!
Scenes like this can still be found on short lines with very limited facilities, but try this with one of the "big guys" today???..... you just might get walking papers! It's UNSAFE!!!! AAAAHHHH!
Been messing around with posing a bit, pretty pleased with how it turned out. I love this acoustic guitar piece, definitely wanna get more use out of it.
Also for those who care, sorry for the heavy absence lately. I've been preoccupied with a bunch of shit and haven't found the time. I would be lying if I said I've not lost a little interest, but I don't plan on leaving any time soon.
