In the summer of 2000 we put on a workshop for planning commissioners in Nevada and Utah. We rented Ely's famous ghost train for one evening, and enjoyed a nice dinner on board.
I wouldn't mind doing it again.
Tilly & I on the Ghost Train - part of Brendan Walker's Thrill Laboratory at the Science Museum ... I think my teeth are more scary than the ride.
The Ghost Train is an annual event in Chesapeake. The 1 1/4 mile main trail between the entrance and the Northwest River is filled with static displays and the "Ghost Train", wooden wagons pulled by a tractor, takes people down the trail at night where live actors are added to the spooky displays. The local community is heavily involved every year.
Kaum hatte ich diesen Bahnübergang im Stadtteil Yoyogi überquert, da gingen auch schon die Schranken runter und ein Zug der Yamanote-Linie rauschte durch. Tagsüber dürfte hier kaum ein Durchkommen sein, weil die Taktfrequenz auf dieser Linie so hoch ist, dass zwischendurch höchstens zwei bis drei Fußgänger über die Gleise springen können.
