The Ghost Train is an annual event in Chesapeake. The 1 1/4 mile main trail between the entrance and the Northwest River is filled with static displays and the "Ghost Train", wooden wagons pulled by a tractor, takes people down the trail at night where live actors are added to the spooky displays. The local community is heavily involved every year.

We had some lovely friends to dinner last night and it was fun. Poppy appeared at the table testing the make up she was planning for Halloween. We are having a Halloween Party next week and we've bought some lovely things from Selfridges.
Tomorrow we are heading to Brighton for a couple of days and Poppy wants to ride the ghost train, which now sits on the opposite side of the pier to the original used in the film 'Brighton Rock'. We traditionally always ride on this train.
We're looking forward to meeting up with Pendle who used to play guitar in my band in the early 80's. He's very busy writing music for films.
