Chesterfield is a ghost town in Caribou County, Idaho.
Located along a route of the Oregon Trail, Chesterfield was founded by Mormon settlers in 1881. After a railroad line was built through Bancroft to the south, the community lost some of its momentum, and agricultural difficulties led to its desertion by the end of the 1930s.
This is a white albino alligator, sometimes referred to as a "swamp ghost." These extremely rare reptiles are pretty much impossible to see in the wild as they are incredibly vulnerable to the sun. However, they do exist, mostly in zoos and such. I shot this one at Silver Springs in Ocala, Florida.

You think of shrimps and lobsters (crayfish) as backward “spurt swimmers” via their muscular tails. But ghost shrimps also swim very well in a forward direction – particularly when food hits the surface of the water. Their beady little eyes must be more than adequate because these little rascals push their way into the front of any food fight at the surface of the water. Perhaps they detect food by smell or via their delicate antennae. In any event, they let very little food escape. If you want to see a real wrassling match, feed a bunch of them a few live California blackworms.
Unlike fishes with mouths at the front of their faces, ghost shrimps cram food into an opening in what appears to be their chest. From this strange mouth, their food moves up behind their eyes where you can watch it curve back around and down into their stomachs. These food storage areas turn the same color as the food they eat. You can easily see thru their bodies during this process.
OMG, that is totally a ghost from one of the dead vineyard workers. It totally is! Its trying to give me a six-sided message.

Ghost Ranch is a retreat and conference center in Norther NM owned and operated by the Presbyterian Church. One of Georgia O'Keefe's houses is here on this Ghost Ranch property. Our family used to go here in the summers where my Mom attended one or two week seminars - mostly art and spirituality related.
We didn't notice thie until we started to d/l the images from the day. No edits were done to this image...The figure floating above the gravestone is just a bit Eerie....don't ya think? The 2 images in comments below were taken at the same time.. No smudge on the lens, or windshield that I was shooting through
Tuckie looks at the ghost as it rises into the sky. The lens cast a shadow on the ground that I cropped out.
