This is just a sketch-up of a way to show similar words evolving together over time. An attempt to ask the question why some words of same meaning take on different semantic dimensions.
The messiness of the watercolor serves to give an aesthetic feel of unfinished-ness or fuzziness. difference is carried by both form and color though one or the other could work. The use of form+color difference reinforces the amusing idea of words as evolving creatures.

This ghost town is near another ghost town, Sherman on the Cinnamon pass side of the Alpine Loop close to Lake City in the San Juans
I had set out again with my camera last Monday evening to explore the city. You can't get over the feeling of being in a ghost town. It's really a strange feeling what's happening to us humans these days. The fear of a possibly contagious virus makes us blinded by the possible fact that we can no longer understand the real causes behind this big theatre. Day after day our mind is flooded with confusing media, which many people cannot withstand and in the end only the escape into fear as a place of retreat remains.
I close my eyes and return to my heart. I bow to the breath of the present and trust with love in the future.

Ghost sign for Manka Produce, on the side of a building in El Dorado, Kansas. Manka Produce was owned by the husband and wife team of Alvin and Frances Manka. The company is long gone.

Ghosts hanging around Yaletown in Vancouver, BC. Saw these and thought they'd make a cool Halloween photo, but naturally I couldn't resist taking more than one.
I dug back into my files and found some photos from Jennifer (Jen's Photography) and my trip to The Chicago Botanic Gardens.
This abstract was shot in one of the greenhouses. I don't recall what the plant is but I really liked the way the lines moved through the leaves.
I caught this sticker in Houston. There is a local cat who goes by the handle "Ghost Town". He's up all over the place.

The Ghost Train is an annual event in Chesapeake. The 1 1/4 mile main trail between the entrance and the Northwest River is filled with static displays and the "Ghost Train", wooden wagons pulled by a tractor, takes people down the trail at night where live actors are added to the spooky displays. The local community is heavily involved every year.
