was pretty early in the morning but was totally worth to get up than, the sky was just amazing!
what you see here belongs to a newer part of the destrict of Zurich (Oerlikon).
for me it's like a bit forlorn there. sometimes there is silence for hours and no people are outside, a bit scarry. Like in a ghost town!
But I think that's just because it's so new there...
I paired up with De this week for the peer commissioned micro project, and we set each other a short brief to work on throughout the week. We set the brief to psychogeography, this subsequently led me to make a circle on a map, selecting an urban area to photograph, which ironically turned out to be an area I visit to shop but have never really photographed prior to this project. I produced a series of 4 images to counteract and provide contrast and juxtaposition to Dee’s outcomes, with a twist of including as De had suggested to also hint to my practice of Social Commentary that currently focuses on Social Media, particularly the notion and phenomena of ghosting, in this case created through the use of long exposures. This suggestion has made me think on my current WIP, and how I may include slow exposures to produce blurred ghostly temporal outcomes…
"Ghost Tree"

Night sky at Les Prés d'Orvin. Me and a couple of friends snowshoed to a small Métairie in the Jura Mountains to enjoy a swiss cheese fondue. Métairie is a small farm with a restaurant dotting the peaks of the Swiss Jura, especially in the region of the Bernese Jura, the French-speaking part of the canton of Bern. After dinner I snowshoed to this old tree not far from the Métairie to take this image of this bare tree under a clear nightsky

I was looking through the pictures we took during a recent barbecue party, this summer, in my backyard. I came across this picture and something seemed really weird, just on my left on the pic, at first I thought it was my pipe's smoke, but the shape seems almost to human...
It is certainly not my shadow or a reflection of my figure due to the flash...Can this be a ghost?
The same effect that I was trying for in the "ghostly" self portraits used on Savanah. This one turned out kinda nice and pretty much what I was shooting for. I had to adjust the levels in photoshop and I did crop it down. She wasn't sitting where I told her and I wasn't going to argue with her anymore as it was getting a bit colder and we both wanted to go back in. All in all though, it was pretty much what I was shooting for (effect wise).
Taken during a foggy night from Lake Point Tower in Chicago. The glow and lighting is all natural with minor contrast adjustments in Apple Aperture.
From where I stood, the face of a man appeared to be looking up at the woman with the bunny ears. Turns out, they are married.
I felt it was a neat optical illusion.

(Speakout Magazine – on 20 Stories High's Babul and the Blue Bear)
I had set out again with my camera last Monday evening to explore the city. You can't get over the feeling of being in a ghost town. It's really a strange feeling what's happening to us humans these days. The fear of a possibly contagious virus makes us blinded by the possible fact that we can no longer understand the real causes behind this big theatre. Day after day our mind is flooded with confusing media, which many people cannot withstand and in the end only the escape into fear as a place of retreat remains.
I close my eyes and return to my heart. I bow to the breath of the present and trust with love in the future.
In prayer for all 🙏
