A railfan scrambles to get into position to photograph a Nickel Plate Express excursion train leaving Noblesville, Indiana, on a 30-minutes holiday trip. The walkway is part of a trail that crosses the White River adjacent to the tracks.
Ah, get back

Get back to where you once belonged

I had this idea written down in my ideas book for some time so today seemed as good a day as any to get it done. It seemed appropriate too as i woke up at 6.30 to take pictures of the sunrise, but it was overcast so when i went back to bed for an hours more sleep i ended up waking at 11.30! Where does the time go!!! It always speeds past when you enjoy yourself or lags behind when your at work! (well it does in my case!)
And to top it all off there were major problems with flickr today, don't know if anyone else had them but i couldn't upload this shot or go to the home menu!
What a palava, all i can say now is thank god and i intend to get productive and enjoy the day! Apologies for the saga, im shutting up now!
Have a great weekend flickr!
Midnight has always stolen Ben's underwear, but this game has evolved. He now tries to pull Ben's underpants off from around his ankles while Ben is sitting on the toilet : )))
The dark areas on those underpants are Midnight's saliva. It takes a lot of pulls to accomplish this feat!
See Midnight's sock steal technique in the 1st comment.

"If you want to play hide and seek with me let me remind you,
Of the photos you're gonna miss in the time it takes to find you"
The classic Temptations' song came to mind as I tried to snap one of a trio of these moths in Kaeng Krachan NP. They kept hiding under large leaves in the deep forest, but in the end there was no escape.
HI ALL, To my AMAZEMENT!! I was able to get on the internet right now!! No clue why I haven’t been able to for more then a month. No clue how long I can stay on or if I will be able to get back on anytime soon.
My health is oretty lousy with allergies on top and pretty bad to. No covid I have been tested more then once. The guy in the next apartment seems likely to have covid, but refuses to be tested or mask up or isolate and the building doesn’t seem to be able to do anything. Guy next door says it isn’t his problem if anyone gets it they were ment to get it.
Anyway I have been stuck in my apartment due to health so I haven’t encountered him much so that is a good thing.
How are you all doing?? I hope well!! Enjoying life?? Doing anything fun this summer??
I better send this while I hopefully can.
Please take care and prayers for you all.
I hope you are all well. :)
Charles.
I do force this old body out for walks when i can and of course I need food so to get grocerys a very painful difficult thing to do. Ordering them to be dilivered is not affordable for me and not have internet accesse makes that not possible even if i could. But getting out some is good and thus these two pictures.
Hugs all. No clue when I'll be on again.
Charles.

Five days after black and red collide.
The motion sickness past, I’ll be the first to stand.
Behind that weathered door, I thought it would be safest.
My head is dizzy now, I thought we’d overcome.
We might not make it home tonight.
Crawling on the ash, she’s pitiful.
She lost her sense of light; she has to hold my hand.
Had I known we might be two kids without their jackets.
My fear would come alive, I wouldn’t love her now.
She might not make home tonight.
Get up

Shooting at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy, my friend John of Insight Imaging, got right up close to get his shots...
Getting lost in the Nature you could find yourself, suddenly.
You could also figure out "what" are you actually, what you like, which is your path, which is your aim.
Somewhere, lost in nowhere, you can find your "where".
And that's sublime.
Iceland, road trip, July-August 2015.
And now I can get the steps cleaned off easier :) Had to take a photo of my shoveling job and his snow blower handiwork.
Thanks honey!
I will thank you in advance for any comment or fave on my image as I may not always have the time to get back.

The 1980s, when beer was cheap and love was free :)
One of my 'found moments' on the streets of London.
Urban Spaces Scheme It was 1987 and I was enjoying post-student life in London, working on an environmental project at North London Polyechnic. Two of my friends had just got engaged - we went to the pub to celebrate :)

I was experimenting with some very fast and grainy Kodak Monochrome film at the time, to capture the atmosphere of dark and dingy pubs! ASA1600 as far as I can remember.

This was part of my night... getting the new Blue Light District ready. I'm really excited for this... it should be a fun "addition" to #Miktopia. Three floors of fun!

"Double the Trouble!"
Here is another set of rock' em sock 'em hummingbird territorial disputes. During the last 2 weeks of August we put out a couple of flowering plants and a feeder that attract all pollinators, but especially hummingbirds. The nectars really help them bulk up before their incredibly long journeys back south for the winter. It's a very special time of year because we don't live where there are numerous hummingbirds.... but they begin to come down from the mountains as they migrate south and we get to enjoy those little birds that like to stop by our flowers and feeder. I get up very early every morning and make sure the feeder is clean and full of the sugar water they love. I usually get buzzed by at least one hummer waiting for breakfast. They are full of attitude...or as I like to call it...."BIRDitude!" The light usually hits the feeding area around 7:30 am, and out the door we go. It's a long walk to where we sit.....about 3 feet! This summer the challenge has been to capture 2 hummingbirds engaged with each other. It's always fun and frustrating at the same time. The rewards are worth the time and foul language! Here is another set of various species having non lethal disputes.
With lockdown lasting seemingly for ever and to add to that my recent injury where I fractured my ribs i'm surprised I haven't turned into a cough potato. But despite everything I keep reasonably active even if it's just going for a decent walk each day about half-an-hour. But I need to lose a couple of Kilos as some of my nicest clothes don't fit any more. So my big challenge this summer is to get fit lose some weight and have plenty of yummy sex lol. I well when I feel safe to tug pull and stretch I can start on all that housework and gardening I've been afraid to do.
