The days grow darker earlier, the air turns colder and mistier. I was drawn to capture a bleak and quiet moment at an aging hardware store. There is a certain melancholy in the scene, a reminder that it is time to accept the end of summer, no matter how hard it may be.
Rainbow Falls , Island of Hawaii
In the Hawaiian language, the rainbow falls are called “rainbow [seen in] water”, or Waiānuenue.
...you can’t buy happiness but you can do a quick two day one night backpacking trip to Imogene Lake in the Sawtooths. Imogene Lake is an alpine lake in Custer County, Idaho, United States, located in the Sawtooth Mountains in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. The lake is approximately 15 miles southwest of Stanley.
The sin of inadvertence, not being alert, not quite awake, is the sin of missing the moment of life-live with unremitting alertness.

I arrived at Goblin Valley before the sun. As the sun's glow started to grow, I felt someone staring at me; the Dawn Goblin.

My friend Tobias and I have been on a two-day hike in the Palatinate Forest in begin of August, 2025. We climbed up this sandstone formation in the dark and with our headlamps on. The weather was windy and partly wet. But we really enjoyed the view and the mood up there. We would stay out for hiking and shooting for the whole day and would have a warm dinner and campfire in the evening and a good night sleep in our tents.

Photographing raptors like this Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) in rehabilitation centers offers a unique glimpse into the vital work being done to protect these majestic birds. Raptors, known for their keen eyesight and powerful hunting skills, often face threats from habitat loss, poisoning, and injury.
Rehabilitation plays a crucial role in their conservation. When raptors are injured or orphaned, rehabilitation centers provide medical care, nutrition, and a safe environment for recovery. This process not only helps individual birds regain their strength and health but also contributes to the overall population by allowing them to return to the wild.
Capturing images of these birds during rehabilitation can raise awareness about their challenges and the importance of conservation efforts. Photographers can showcase their beauty and resilience, inspiring others to support wildlife rehabilitation initiatives. By highlighting these efforts, we can foster a greater appreciation for raptors and the ecosystems they inhabit.
Bathed in a soft light against a dark, dramatic background, this Cyclamen bloom holds the spotlight. Its gentle pink petals unfurl like wings, revealing a deeper crimson heart. The shallow depth of field elegantly blurs its companion in the background, drawing the eye instantly to the exquisite details and subtle textures of the perfectly focused flower. A dance of light and shadow, the image captures a moment of quiet, ethereal beauty.

A few days ago, when the sun was still shining, my mate Rob showed me some great places near his home town. That day we saw some Buzzards and deer amongst the vines.
A Jeep trail on the edge of our small town provides expanded views of this beautiful place. Eagle, Co.
Sunrise on the Vogelberg (1,204.1 m) mountains of the Jura, located north of Mümliswil in the Swiss canton of Solothurn. It lies east of the Passwang Pass. The border with the canton of Basel-Landschaft runs north of the mountain.
I had been searching for this scene for years. It’s been hanging on in the fuzzy checklist of images that I’d like to capture. Then finally last year, I found myself in the right place at the right time. Sometimes just getting out is the biggest reward and sometimes the reward is a little more tangible.
