In this piece, the last traces of daylight slip across the Mesquite Dunes before yielding to the deep, enveloping hush that darkness brings. I’m drawn to these moments when the world grows still, and the dunes seem to breathe in silence. This photograph is part of my ongoing series Contours of Light and Silence, exploring the quiet transitions where form and shadow shape the desert’s emotional landscape.
If you ever find yourself in Tacoma Washington you must make time to visit the glass museum. Dale Chihuly and his group of merry folks make incredible art and the process is amazing.
This one got put aside because I couldn't make the call on the different comps, this is the simplest, but it loses the beehive IDK, It's more about the shapes I think. I have a few more in the folder with it if you would like to see more of this place, it's way cool.
I almost forgot, I hit the dreaded one pick a day button, sorry, there just isn't enough time in the day to see five picks from everyone and I was becoming frustrated so....... if I miss a Rembrandt, let me know and I'll stop by.
