The Track Geometry Train makes its way west along the Garrett Sub and across Clark Road in Gary, IN.
Some fun geometry I discovered with the minifig baseplates. Thank goodness I have around 8 million of them. Don't know how useful this is, I was just messing around.
Green Reed Grass, common around here, bent by the seasons and the cooler weather. Noticed the geometry displayed and thought to take some photos.
a drawing for my friend Bruce who had moved to New Zealand.
~ we had learned how to make tessellations in geometry class during high school. To my surprise, this assignment is one of few lectures which I still retain in my brain.

I realized that I never did upload the image I used for the March iPhone calendar. Here you go.
I spent some time walking the streets of Vegas last week. Just don't call me a street walker. It was fun to be in this area, looking up, seeing the reflections and green olive colors. It's not very often in Vegas that you can feel alone and isolated.

Many of my designs are original, but this one is plucked right from the history books. Heptagons or 14-gons aren't very common in traditional Islamic designs because they don't tile well, but here's one possible way to fit pairs of heptagons in between 14-gons!
I took Geometry in school. I was good at it. Why the heck do I not remember one single nuance of it? But I'm going with a cube of concrete as a geometrical shape anyway. And I want credit for the physical exertion it took to lift this heavy thing on top of the stump. Especially since Mitzi and I walked 11.2 miles this morning!
ODC: Geometry
Another batch of photos I never got around to uploading.
In June 2013 there was a lighting conference that happened in Wellington which had tons of public lighting sculptures.
