Today I wanted to show you how some of the patterns that I’ve previously shown you for ‘My pattern design of the week’ would look like as wallpapers. The patters have been slightly changed and I’ve also added a few other design elements to them where I thought the design needed a little extra work.

I'm apparently capable of being endlessly amused by all the changing reflections I see in glass-curtain buildings, so here's another one: a rectangular tower with all but a top section covered with reflective glass panels exhibits a dramatic, almost completely monochromatic pattern, presumably of clouds; this was indeed this monochromatic in real life, I didn't selectively desaturate that part of the photo.
The imposed completely squared-off shape of the building as seen in this photo is an impossible perspective, given where the photo was taken from.

The plan of the tombs is an open courtyard surrounded by chambers that contained one or more burials.
These limestone tombs, are painted to simulate alabaster and marble.
They are decorated with multi-colored geometric patterns and fine fresco ornaments.
The tombs at Anfushi, date back to the third century BC, about 250 BC, with the late Ptolemaic and early Roman eras.

By absurd I don't mean bad. Not every ripply brick opart needs to be super showy.
Haha this is on the backalley side of the building, jeez.

Maya Hayuk is a Ukrainian-American artist. Maya Hayuk graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and the University of Odessa in Ukraine. In the nineties she started working as a photographer of the punk-rock scene in New York. Music has remained a key concept in her work to this day. She said: "I am super inspired by the rhythms and patterns that music creates in my mind, they are directly connected to what I make visible and I react very violently to music". She is a multifaceted artist. Maya Hayuk also says that she is subject to various influences: from Ukrainian folk art, to Tibetan mandelas, pop culture and modern art. She is not only a muralist but also a photographer, painter and curator. Her abstract and colourful works are dynamic and respect an elaborate geometry. The result are graphic works of psychedelic visual intensity, often a large-scale mural. Her large-scale, improvised murals speak of the artist's obsession with symmetry, "perfect imperfection" and outer/inner space. Her works look at expanding awareness and perception to find
This work was created as part of the Crystal Ship arts festival in Ostend, which each year - since 2016 - tackles a number of walls or facades.

Handcrafted from sterling and fine silver, this wonderful pill/treasure box has an engraved triangle motif on the lid.
Like all of my boxes this box is entirely hand fabricated by me from sheet metal.
The sides of the box are sterling silver, the top and the bottom are fine silver.
The box has a highly shined finish on the outside which really shows off the engraved triangles on the top. The triangles change with light giving them an almost holographic look. They are also reminiscent of a 50's design aesthetic. The inside of the box has a matte finish.
The lid pressure fits to the bottom and it is very secure. This box would make a great one of a kind pill or treasure box.
The box measures:
38.1 mm length (1.6 inch)
12.7 mm height (0.5 inch)
25.4 mm width (1 inch)
I work with Harmony recycled metals - all metals have been reclaimed.

Cherry Pie Recipe
2 pie crusts (I use store bought crusts and roll them super thin)
2 cans sour cherries (for 1 small pie)
1/4 cup corn starch
1 cup sugar
Drain the juice off the cherries (reserve the juice!! )
Add cornstarch to a little bit of the juice to dissolve it. Add Sugar and cornstarch mixture to the juice and cook on medium high until it thickens. Add cherries after the juice starts to thicken.
Pour cherries and juice into pie crust and top with 2nd pie crust.
bake at 375 for an hour
